Two can play this game
Rep. Allen West (R-FL) told a crowd of Florida voters “he’s heard” up to 80 U.S. House Democrats are Communist Party members, “but wouldn’t name names,” the Palm Beach Post reports.
I’ve heard that half of all Republicans in the House are Nazis. Or at the very least fascist. And you know what, I bet you there is more evidence to support the latter allegation than the former.
Whenever you think that the Republicans have gotten just about as crazy as they can get, when you think they’ve gone as looney as they can go, they always manage to lower the bar another notch.
The Communist bogeyman is getting a bit long in the tooth.
Example: “I heard 40% of House Republicans are Visigoth sympathizers. “
Reading DD’s link, it seems that Republicans like West are somehow proud of the fact that they know nothing about the issues. To quote West directly, “But it (whatever substantive issue you care to mention) won’t mean a hill of beans if the United States of America goes from $15.6 trillion in debt to $26 trillion in debt.”
The phony debt crisis talk is an all around get-out-of-addressing-the-real-issues free card.
I liked the bullethead who showed up to defend West. West’s latest idiocy shows that his court martial-worthy behavior was just the tip of the iceberg. Either his years in combat unstrung him or he wasn’t thinking straight to start with.
West’s words are evidence that there is at least one raving paranoid schizophrenic in Congress.
I’ve heard that Alan West is a war criminal. And here he is, hiding in plain sight, in the US Congress.
It’s ALLEN West. dont give us Alans a bad name 🙂
