Saturday Open Thread [8.11.12]
Today is the Workers Stand for America Rally being held in Philly at the Eakins Oval. Not sure if any DL commenters plan on being there, but visit the website for information and take a look at America’s Second Bill of Rights being proposed by the labor organizers. There is a place to sign to endorse these rights, if you choose. Organizers will be asking politicians to endorse this document too.
It starts at 11 and is open to all. Lucinda Williams is scheduled to be there as is Debbie Wasserman-Schultz. This rally is a response to the DNC selection of Charlotte, NC as the site of the DNC convention — in a so-called right to work state, hostile to labor issues.
If you don’t go, there is live streaming of the event if you want to watch.
One of the issues of the Workers Stand for America Rally, is “the right to participate in the electoral process”.
Can someone tell me what that means. I know it’s an advantage for Democrats when illegals, dead people, and felons vote. I’m just not sure how that is of interest to this Workers Stand For America group. Sounds like a Democrat based political rally aimed at getting the Hispanic vote to me.

To accuse a group of paying for votes is dispicable, especially in the face of NOT having any facts
we do however have facts on the Spectre of Voter Fraud – in that it is is nearly non-existant and there have been NO prosecutions in DE or Pa (that now has a voter fraud ID law that is being challenged)
The only thing Voter fraud seems to do is disenfranchise the minority and poor populations – who of all folks should have their votes protected.
But this letter to the editor sinks to a new low – falsy accusing a group of voter ID fraud and vote buying. On top of that she want us to report our friends and neighbors to the elections departments
Shame on her!! Bet she is a Bill COlley/WGMD fan too.
She’s a GOP committee member from the 14th and a lobbyist for 9-12 Delaware Patriots.

that makes it all cler – well someone should call her out on her libel/slander
it is simply irresponsible…….and reprehensible – but why does that NOT surprise me coming from the Sussex GOP and a Delaware 9/12patriot
But wait – isnt HONESTY one of their virtues???? OH – we’re not supposed to actually belive that part of it – I see…….
