The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity

1. Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation. 2. The probability that a certain person (will) be stupid is independent of any other characteristic of that person. 3. A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or to a group of persons while himself deriving no gain and even possibly incurring losses. 4. Non-stupid people always underestimate the damaging power of stupid individuals. In particular non-stupid people constantly forget that at all times and places and under any circumstances to deal and/or associate with stupid people always turns out to be a costly mistake. 5. A stupid person is the most dangerous type of person.

A Little Hot in Here

Thank goodness for August. If the dog days didn't cool down, we probably would have had the hottest summer on record.  As it was, Delaware experienced our third warmest summer…

An Axis of Deceit: The Gordon/KWS/Williams/Bullock Cabal

So the Tom Gordon/Karen Weldin Stewart/Dennis P. Williams/Christopher Bullock cabal has yet again decieved the Democratic Primary voter by handing out this flyer today, saying the Party has endorsed them all. I guess they are Post-Truth Democrats, aren't they? Meanwhile the truth is the Democratic Party has endorsed Paul Clark (not that I am happy about that, mind you), Mitch Crane, and Renee Taschner, and offered no endorsement in the Wilmington Mayor's race. So perhaps you want to ask one of the four (who will hopefully all lose tonight) why they feel so comfortable with lying.

Tuesday Open Thread [9.11.12]

It is called Schadenfreude, and I enjoy it immensely. Chuck Todd:
"In boxing, you know one fighter is trailing in points when, in the final rounds, he throws everything he can to land a knockout blow against his opponent. The same is largely true in presidential politics. And so yesterday while campaigning in Ohio, we saw Mitt Romney and his team try to throw the kitchen sink at President Obama."

The Polling Report [9.11.12]

Yesterday we concentrated on national tracking polls. Today we have some new national nontracking polls to obsess over, all showing substantial bounces for President Obama. And we also have some new state polls too. But first, our new map...

Primary Day in Delaware

Well, the polls are now open. Go out and vote, then report back with any observations. This is now an open thread for polling place reports for the day and predictions. Polls close at 8PM. If you don't know where to vote, look it up here. And once the polls close, come on out to Timothy's on the Wilmington waterfront for some liberal libations and to watch the returns come in.
