Debates at the University of Delaware

This series of debates is sponsored by UD and Delaware First Media. This is a separate set of debates from the WHYY/WDEL events, but another great opportunity to see these candidates up close and personal. These are being held at Mitchell Hall on the UD Newark campus. Both start at 7pm.

Pires has Carper worried? I doubt it

First the tit for tat billboards, now this fundraising letter from Sen. Coons making a frowny face about that bad old Alex Pires. Click through to read it, but I'll give my response to Senator Coons up here.
Dear Senator Coons, Thanks for the letter. Instead of sending money to Carper, the guy who has enriched himself during his tenure in the Senate, I'll send this advice; BE A DEMOCRAT. Delaware is a blue state and we don't appreciate the way you worked to water-down the ACA and the way you constantly provide the extreme right wing with bipartisan cover for their extremist shenanigans. Yours, Jason330

Evan Q – Check out this actual Craig’s List post

Award winning NY based film production company is seeking conspiracy theorists for a new, low budget, feature length documentary. If you or someone you know is extremely passionate about a certain conspiracy theory, we'd love to talk to you. We're looking for outgoing people who can really make an audience think, get passionate, shake up their beliefs a little bit and inspire them to look at the world through more discerning eyes.

Thursday Open Thread [9.27.12]

"One of the dogs that hasn't barked in this campaign is the massive financial advantage Mitt Romney was expected to enjoy on account of nearly unlimited funds available to him from conservative Superpacs. Yet, even including the efforts of outside groups, Obama has been out-advertising Romney in the key swing states...[.] The full story of how the financial tsunami failed to strike has yet to be untangled, but bits and pieces have dribbled out over recent days."

Democrats shouldn’t vote for Tom Carper. Period.

Without even going into his worst in the Democratic Caucus voting record, Tom Carper is currently giving Delaware Democrats the finger on giant bill boards. Perhaps as a response to Alex Pires' giant billboards which forcefully deliver the the message "Alex Pires," Tom Carper has invested in bill boards which essentially deliver his message "I love enabling Republican obstruction!"

Go to the UD Sustainable Coastal Community Initiative Meeting in Lewes

The Sustainable Coastal Community Initiative is meant to be a project where the University of Delaware offers its expertise to help the state's coastal region to identify its long-term challenges and to work with those communities to develop preferred solutions. The website link here will give you lots more information. There was a community meeting on this project in late August where the 9-12 Patriots unsheathed their tin foil to disrupt this meeting. There is another meeting tonight, and another expectation that these people will show up to disrupt it again.
