Teabags proven right about Romney’s suckage – already crowing over Mitt’s loss

They predicted it. They told the party elites that Romney was not the guy. They said that Obamacare could sink the President, but couldn't be used by the man from Massachusetts. The eventual Romney loss was so clear to the teabags. So obvious. But did the GOP elites and shot callers listen...? Hell no. They went and forced this talking haircut on them, and now they are pissed. Pissed and vindicated. So vindicated, apparently, that they are not even waiting until election night to start talking about how vindicated they are.

Bob Casey in danger of giving away a safe D Senate seat in PA

If we lose this one, you'll probably be able to chalk it up to the despicable Citizens United decision. I've seen Smith's ads and he is running as a stealth wingnut. Smith's TV spots are not only frequent, they are very polished. If you didn't keep up with politics, it would be impossible to know who was the Democrat and who was the Republican based on the ads.

More austerity, perhaps, will fix this…

Spain is proving that austerity for austerity's sake is the "scab refs" of economic policy. Fixing artificial debt to GOP numbers, then taking away a country's ability to pay down its' debt is working for someone, somewhere. Nobody knows who is winning, but somewhere it is imagined that a banker is looking at a vault full of money and that makes it all worth it.

Evan Queitsch’s Bizarro World

Up until two days ago, I'd never heard of the impending disaster known as (cue foreboding music) Agenda 21. Until, of course, the person who no less an authority than Rick Jensen claims to be a serious and credible candidate unveiled Agenda 21 to his starstruck readers. You all know Evan Queitsch as Christine O'Donnell's hired muscle and current candidate for State Senate in the 11th District. He is opposing Bryan Townsend who, if Evan Queitsch is to be believed (insert joke here), is some sort of stealth double agent sent to Newark to impose the horrors of Agenda 21 upon an unsuspecting populace.

Scab Refs

So this experiment is scab officials seems to be going well for the NFL. Although, I watched the replay of the Packers game and it looked like one of the scab refs lost track of which team had possession of the ball and called a touchdown when it was clearly a safety touchback.

The Polling Report [9.26.12]

Wow. Just look at the new polls out this morning in Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania. Landslide baby. If Obama wins by those margins there, then he will also win in North Carolina, Missouri, Montana, Georgia, Arizona and South Carolina. Yes, I just said that.

WHYY/WDEL Debates for Governor, House, Senate Races Set

Mark your calendars! The local General Election debate season is upon us and this notice is of a series of three debates being sponsored/presented by WHYY and WDEL for the Governor's race, the House Representative race and the Senate race. The (edited) press release with the details follows:

Could Someone Tell Me Why Scott Brown Thinks This Is A Winning Strategy?

Scott Brown keeps hammering Elizabeth Warren's Native American claim. And I mean hammering. Here's the thing. Yeah, it's embarrassing, but is that really all he's got? He brings it up constantly, and I'm not sure why. Is there a large Native American vote he's wooing? ;-) Seems to me this line of attack isn't going to change many votes, and yet it's almost all you hear about when Scott Brown speaks. Sure, take the shot, toss it in occasionally, but building your entire campaign around it? I just don't get it. Brown is obviously very offended by Warren's Native American claim, but then his campaign goes and does this:
Staffers for Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) reportedly participated in war-whoop sounds and “tomahawk chop” gestures at supporters of Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren, mocking Warren’s claimed Native American ancestry.

The Polling Report [9.25.12]

The cherry on the top of the sundae that was the 2008 election was Obama winning the 2nd Congressional District in Nebraska. Nebraska is one of two states (the other being Maine) that apportions its electoral votes by congressional district winner and state wide winner. The statewide winner gets 2 electoral votes, and then the winner of each of the three congressional districts in Nebraska get one electoral vote each. The 2nd Congressional District in Nebraska encompasses the Omaha area, one of the more Democratic areas of Nebraska, relatively speaking. After the "embarrassment" of having a Democrat win a Nebraska electoral vote for the first time since 1964, Nebraska Republicans first attempted to pass legislation eliminating proportional representation, but that failed. Then through redistricting, they made the 2nd CD more Republican. But a new poll has been released showing a tie in the 2nd CD between Romney and Obama. Wouldn't be something if Obama wins that Nebraska electoral vote again? Indeed, I consider it a canary in a coal mine: a sign of the coming Obama landslide.
