The only thing surprising about this whole Doug Gansler Party scandal is…

Filed in National by on October 25, 2013

that the party was located in South Bethany. South Bethany? You breathe wrong in that town and you get arrested. You go 36 mph through the 1 mile stretch South Bethany has on Rt. 1 and you get pulled over.

Are we sure this party didn’t happen in Dewey or Rehoboth or even regular Bethany?

No, the only thing really surprising is that a successful politician would think, after the Anthony Weiner and Eliot Spitzer and Bob Filner and John Edwards scandals, that he could ever walk into any scene in which he wouldn’t want to be photographed and not be photographed and not have political opponents get those photographs published.

Nothing stays secret any more. If you step out of line, for almost any reason, in virtually any way, someone is going to know, some record is going to be made, and it will come out.

Senior week and drinking? Color me shocked. As the parent of two teenagers… I’ll not cast the first stone.

Any stone-throwing parents have children who LIE to them.

So I don’t quite get this — is the allegation that there was drinking by teens here and he ignored it? Or that there *might* have been drinking, but he didn’t check?

What self-respecting parent would visit their kid during senior week?

Why would you call it a scandal. It is so absurd that people will laugh at the media not him. The only scandal is that the media even bothered to treat it like a story.

strange that in the month of june you could get away with what appears to be a loud and somewhat large party without having the cops show up. strange that any adult would show up at such a place. not strange that kids would be partying given the circumstances.
