  1. Jason330 says:

So… this validates everything I’ve been saying. The right wing’s entire funding and media apparatus is going to be backing Trump 100%.

He may be a short-dicked version of Stalin, but the alternative is Clinton.

  2. Delaware Dem says:

You might be right, but where you go off the rails is assuming that makes Trump an unstoppable victor in the fall.

  3. Jason330 says:

    unstoppable ?

Try…Much more difficult to stop than anybody thinks. [You have a tendency to rely too heavily on the straw-man.]

Dem consultants and beltway types keep looking at Trump’s negative approval numbers through the lens of “what happened before.”

Nothing like Trump has ever happened before in this country. I hope the Clinton’s, at least, grasp that.

“Nothing like Trump has ever happened before in this country.”

True. And I think the Clinton team does understands that, which is why I am glad to see them pivot a bit to focus on Trump in their messaging. It probably will be a bit of trial and error to see what works. Sanders is an unnecessary distraction with so much at stake.

  5. ‘Sanders is an unnecessary distraction’? What, exactly, is Sanders keeping Clinton from doing? From attacking Trump? The entire Rethug Party is currently attacking Trump and providing material that the D’s can use in the fall.

The one thing that Sanders is doing is at least requiring Clinton to stay away from her centrist comfort zone and at least getting her to say things that might appeal to more than just the establishment types. You know, like her newfound opposition to TPP. Which helps her b/c, you know, Trump is the ‘anti-establishment’ R in the race. The last thing she needs to do is to run as the anointed candidate of Goldman Sachs, and Bernie’s helping to make sure that doesn’t happen. (Even if I/we believe that she IS the anointed candidate of Goldman Sachs.)
