Better Late than Never: SEIU Local Endorses Bryan Townsend for Congress.
32BJ SEIU, the local chapter of the Service Employees International Union, and the local chapter that represents Delaware commercial office cleaners, today endorsed Bryan Townsend for Congress. Daisy Cruz, the 32BJ SEIU Mid-Atlantic District Director, made the following statement:
“Bryan Townsend will stand up for Delaware’s working moms and dads who are leading a movement to build a better future for their families. He has been a strong supporter of the issues that make a difference for our community like good schools, raising the minimum wage, clean air and water, paid leave and equal pay.
“He’s not just giving lip service to these ideas; he has a proven track record of fighting for real change in Dover. Washington desperately needs more leaders like Bryan to level the playing field for working families and fight for prosperity for everyone”
With more than 155,000 members in 11 states, including over 22,000 in PA and DE, 32BJ SEIU is the largest property service workers union in the country.
What a profile in courage……couldn’t wait until the last day to endorse? Give me a break. These organizations are jokes.
I couldn’t give a sh!t about this endorsement. It’s the day before the election. I decided to vote for Lisa 58 commercials ago.
Wait, so now we’re faulting groups for taking their time to make a thoughtful, well-informed decision?
are you kidding?? They have had months to decide . Endorsements the day before an election are nonsense. You can’t communicate to people and make it worthwhile.
How about at least a week or two out? You can’t even productively spend a check the day before either…Cant buy radio or tv time.
The SEIU members who need guidance now have it. The people who poo poo this are whistling past the graveyard.
I’m not going negative or as some may say being a troll.
But, the most important thing is; not to sit on your laurels….VOTE.
Don’t listen to the NJ, DL or whoever…..read their background, get informed and make a decision. It’s your right……..VOTE!
