The Gubernatorial and Congressional Debates
I finally was able to procure links to the videos thanks to Delaware Public Media.

Taegan Goddard says a Democratic Wave may be forming:
[T]he biggest factor may be a demoralized Republican party. With no hope of defeating Hillary Clinton and growing disgust over their own nominee, many Republicans may not even bother to vote.
The early evidence is striking. Last week’s ABC/Washington Post poll found a sharp 12-point decline in enthusiasm for Trump among his supporters. The latest poll shows intended participation of these voters has followed: The share of registered Republicans who are likely to vote is down 7 points since mid-October.
Trump’s own defeatist rhetoric over a “rigged” election may also be backfiring. Why participate in an election if you believe the outcome is predetermined?
At the same time, Clinton is shifting her attention to downballot races.
Our National Dilbert Problem
As many of you know Scott Adams, the artist behind Dilbert, has had a Trump problem. For such a seemingly articulate person, Adams has caused many problems with his inarticulate defenses of Donald Trump.
The Walking Dead Tonight!
Yeah, you either love it or hate it. I love it – a show I started watching three years ago when I was looking for something to do with my 19 year old son in the dead of winter. Anyway… I’m hooked. Season 7 starts tonight. It airs at the same time as Westworld (HBO’s […]
Trump’s 100 Day Plan Translated
As Trump’s surrogates repeatedly tell us that Trump doesn’t always say what he means, here is his 100 Day “Plan” for a legislative agenda translated.
The October 23, 2016 Thread
Washington Post: “Emboldened by polls predicting an electoral-college landslide in the presidential race, Clinton is shifting her strategy to lift up other Democrats coast to coast. She and her party are rushing to capitalize on a turbulent turn in Trump’s candidacy, which has ruptured the Republican Party, to make down-ballot gains that seemed unlikely just a month ago.”
“For Clinton, the move is opportunistic and has governing implications. If elected, a mandate may not be enough for her to muscle a progressive agenda on immigration and other issues through a Republican-controlled Congress. She would almost certainly govern more efficiently with Democratic majorities.”
I feel this video was made for Jason330.
Jason has always complained about the Democratic Party lacking a simple overarching narrative or direction. Or something like that. He says it most when confronted by our milquetoast Delaware Democrats like Tom Carper and John Carney. He says their bipartisan yearning and middle of the road preening obfuscates what the Democratic Party stands for. More times than not, he is right.
This video puts into words exactly what I have always believed to be the theme and purpose of the Democratic Party in my lifetime. Elizabeth Warren, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Lewis and Tim Kaine narrate it.
The October 22, 2016 Thread
Vice President Joe Biden took Donald Trump to task over comments he made bragging about his ability to grope women, saying he wished he were in high school so “I could take him behind the gym,” ABC News reports.
Said Biden: “What he said and did and does is the text book definition of sexual assault. He said because I am famous, because I am a star, because I am a billionaire I can do things other people cant. What a disgusting assertion for anyone to make.”
Rachel Maddow says Biden should probably apologize. Conservative commenters on Twitter are saying if Trump had said that, the media would go nuts. Maybe. But when Donald threatens violence, he does it to bully or intimidate. Joe’s reason: to stand up for women. To stand up to a bully. When a man hits a woman, that man can expect a beating, and there is nothing at all to apologize for.
Don’t you apologize, Joe. Don’t you dare.
