Coons Saves America With Bipartisan Urging

Filed in National by on March 27, 2018

The American republic, in dire peril of collapsing into a one-party Third World-style autocracy, was saved today by Sen. Chris Coons and Republican Sen. Thom Tillis, who released a bipartisan call for the Mueller probe to be allowed to proceed without impediment.

They boldly stated:

We urge President Trump to allow the Special Counsel to complete his work without impediment, which is in the best interest of the American people, the President, and our nation.

There was no immediate response from the White House, where aides said Trump was overcome with shame when presented with this selfless example of millionaires of both parties finding common ground.

Thus was the nation saved.

If this doesn’t get results, they will resort to strongly urging it.

I will grant that there is nothing more ignored than a minority in Congress, and yet Coons and Carper are particularly useless.

Hey, Coonsie is on TV…all the time. From his perspective, screw us.

I nominate Jason’s comment for best sentence of the year so far.

I expect nothing and am still disappointed.
