They sent in the first wave, who immediately got destroyed by the White Walkers, and then they just stood there, gawking at them as the enemy advanced.
Why the hell didn’t they keep firing the trebuchets and arrows? Seems like they could have done better.
Who could tell? That section was shot pretty dark.
That said, the plan was never to win outright, but to hold off the Whites until they could get a shot at the main dude. And it worked. They got a couple shots at him. First John’s weak ass attempt. Then Dragon fire, then the hail mary.
It’s the only show with a medieval setting where civilization has discovered the hairbrush.
