Whoever the Dems Nominate is Going to Beat Trump

I think I’ll sit out the primaries. Polling shows that whoever the Dems nominate will win against our historically unpopular fuckwad of a President. And I don’t want to get in endless arguments with Democrats who say, “If (my favored candidate) doesn’t win the nomination, TRUMP WILL WIN.” Just stop it with that nonsense. Trump will not win.

So why bother getting all worked up over the primaries?

A new (Michigan) statewide Glengariff Group public opinion survey of 600 likely voters shows how Democratic presidential candidates Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, Bernie Sanders, and Joe Biden all easily beat Trump.

  1. Lots of polls. But more importantly, my brilliant mind. I said Trump could win last time and people scoffed. I say he can’t win this time and expect the scoffers to scoff.

Your prediction aged much better than many of the comments on that threat. Ouch.

  2. Just read the first 5 or so comments on that May 2016 thread. Good times.

  3. If anyone will beat Trump, it’s all the more reason to battle it out in the primaries, because that’s what will determine our future course of either timid centrism or bold progressivity.

Sadly, I think the best person to beat him is Biden. If it’s anyone of the screaming harpies he’ll get the small fraction of Republican’s that just cant stomach his antics.

If it’s Warren, or Harris, or Buttchug, They all vote Trump

  5. You’re making the mistake of thinking that it’s better to ignore millennials than cater to them. If marketers have learned anything about millennials, it’s that you can only woo them by catering to them.

Millennials are people who don’t eat cereal for breakfast because — I’m not making this up, they’ve researched it — it’s too much trouble to clean up after.

Yeah, I like Warren, Bernie, Biden. As long as it’s not the carnival baker

    • If you mean in that descending order, I agree.
