100% of Texas voters have already decided if they are voting for or against Trump

A new University of Texas/Texas Tribune Poll shows Texas is locked in at 50/50.

Half of the registered voters in Texas would vote to reelect President Donald Trump, but half of them would not, according to the latest University of Texas/Texas Tribune Poll.

Few of those voters were wishy-washy about it: 39% said they would “definitely” vote to reelect Trump; 43% said they would “definitely not” vote for him. The remaining 18% said they would “probably” (11%) or “probably not” (7%) vote to give Trump a second term.

Looks like it is going to be a base turn-out election. Not a lot of persuadable voters out there this year (or any year).

Trying to persuade Trump voters is like trying to tell the Evangelicals their perversion of Christianity is a cult, they have the same mentality and cannot be reached. It’s like the farmers saying “Trump’s tariffs have really hurt, we may lose the farm, but I still support him”, truly a cult mentality.

Yep. And yet, we are 100% sure to hear Joe Biden channelling his DC consultants and pollsters when he says that he can win by appeal to “the middle” by “pealing off” Trump voters.

Complete, losing nonsense, but it is the only song that band knows how to play.

And if Texas basically has no “undecideds” at this point, it is a fair bet that there are other “swing” states with no undecideds. So the entire point of the primary SHOULD be to build up Democratic enthusiasm and GOTV efforts.

It will, of course, turn into an exercise in dampening enthusiasm because we are talking about a Democratic Party that just can’t get enough of losing.
