Biden Promises Not To ‘Demonize The Wealthy’: At swanky fundraiser, of course. As if not making them pay their fair share is demonization.

Here’s What Real Democratic Governors Do:

Pa. Gov. Wolf Vetoes Bill Providing Tax Credits For Private School Scholarships.

NJ Gov. Murphy Threatens To Veto Ongoing Extortion Payments To Companies Saying They Will Leave The State.  BTW, while Murphy looks to end these payments, Carney privatizes the agency making similar payments to companies doing the exact same thing in Delaware.

Iran: Gulf Of Tonkin Redux?: You know that that’s Bolton’s intent. We have a lot more access to info now, but he’s just itching for a pretext.

How Maryland’s Governor Gave Windfall To Billionaire, Using Funds Supposed To Help The Poor. The parallels to what Mayor Mike is giving to Buccini/Pollin are not lost on me. Using funds designed for improving impoverished parts of the city for luxury downtown condos instead. Where is the outrage?

What do you want to talk about?

John Bolton is perhaps the ultimate war pig, knew he would search for “an incident” to start yet another war , right now he’s trying it with the attack on an oil tanker and assorted claims it was Iran behind it. But Trump seems to be backing away from war with Iran, a rare moment of common sense or just Trump being Trump and backtracking from what he said the day before? It matters not, the war lovers will be back regardless. Hard to believe at one time I thought Viet Nam would be the end of this sick game, but then I was young…..

Wow. Thanks for the link. The paper buried the lede on this one. The proper headline would be ‘State Explores How to Rescue Wesley.’

  2. I’ve never understood how it’s even legal for a private college to get Bond Bill money. BTW, this isn’t the first time that Bonini arranged for this:

    http://delawareliberal.net/2014/07/24/sen-colin-bonini-diverts-state-bond-funds-to-private-religious-institution/

This, as far as I can tell, is not a legal expenditure of public funds and/or Bond monies.

Good long read on how all that Midwestern rain has created an extended high-water season in New Orleans — the river is 12 feet above sea level, bounded by levees, while most of the city is below sea level.

“America’s wettest 12-month period in recorded history, all those devastating floods in Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, Arkansas … it is all coming down through New Orleans now…”

High water season sounds like living with a gun to your head. Which, come to think of it, we all are right now.
