Why not Sarah?

Filed in National by on June 19, 2019

Why doesn’t Sarah McBride primary John Carney? Seriously. She’d mop the floor with his sorry Chamber of Commerce beholden ass.

Ask Tom Carper, politics is all about timing. She’d kill the lazy checked out fuck and be the country’s first trans Governor.

  1. Delaware Left says:

Pretty much an open secret what her next move is

  2. jason330 says:

So there is an actual answer to the posed in the headline. Why not Sarah? Because she is already working on something else.

  3. Dana Garrett says:

I’d vote for her in a second. She’s wonderful.

    • jason330 says:

She’d crush Carney by 55/45. And the Dem primary IS the election. I get that she has a plan, but sometimes the planets just line up.

      • Don’t think Carney even gets 45%. I’m serious. He’s so disengaged. He might not even run against her.

        • jason330 says:

I agree. Checked out doesn’t begin to describe him.

PIPE DREAM! First of all, you guys know Sarah, but the average Dem voter has never heard of her. When they realize she’s trans you can kiss this idea goodbye. Be real. Delaware ain’t ready for it.

          • Jason330 says:

            Ha!

All she has to do is win the PRIMARY and she is in.

BTW – Delaware isn’t ready for school desegregation. That’s no measure.

    Whatever viral means.

The people who wait their turn are suckers and losers. Carper, Markell and Biden all made big moves when they had no business making big moves.

  6. SussexWatcher says:

What do we actually know about her positions on budgeting, economics, criminal justice, education, the environment, or anything beyond LGBTQ issues?

Not being snarky – genuinely curious. She got her start as a Markellite. How do we know for sure she’s not a pro-business Jack clone?

    Please convince me!

    • jason330 says:

A Markellite would look like Bernie Sanders standing next to that fucking Republican, John Carney.

      • mediawatch says:

Help me out, here. What the hell is a “Markellite”?
Is that a “Markell acolyte” or is it “Markell lite”? Or maybe that’s a distinction without a difference.
Regardless, I’m with SW on this one — once we get past gender equality, where does McBride stand on issues that matter to most Delawareans: education, criminal justice and prison reform, environment, corporate welfare, taxation, strengthening the revenue base, infrastructure improvement?
Other than needing a personality implant, Carney differs little from Markell. Until I hear genuine differences on important issues, I’ll consider McBride as nothing more than their little cousin.

    • No snark taken. A lot of us have talked with her and feel confident she wouldn’t just be Jack Redux. But I agree, were she to do this (and there’s no indication that she will), she would have to share her vision with the public. Something, BTW, Carney has never done b/c he doesn’t have one.

      • SussexWatcher says:

But but but — GEAR Prosperity Partnership school grants when I was Secretary of Finance something with health benchmarking tax credits Coastal Zone Act Governor Carper cronies and retreads putting 30something kids in charge of agencies acting only when hands are forced et cetera et cetera.

        That’s vision, right?

  7. Bane says:

Sussex Watcher…. A beef with 30something kids in charge of agencies on a post about 20something kid running for Governor?
