Our Malicious Media – George McGovern Proves that Progressives Can’t Win
George McGovern was mentioned on CNN’s post-debate show. The Democratic Party presidential nominee in 1972 was liberal. He lost badly. It was 1972. Centrists Mike Dukakis, Al Gore, John Kerry, Hilary Clinton all lost but somehow it is 1972 that is instructive. 
Right. You never hear ’em mention how Barry Goldwater getting swamped by LBJ is proof that RWNJ’s can’t win. I think they’re ALL Russian trolls.
No, they’re just motivated by profit, same as everything else in a laissez-faire capitalist society. A democratic socialist, or even a garden-variety liberal, would almost certainly mean higher taxes, hence lower profit.
Plus, how many people other than the Fox crowd would be paying much attention to politics if Hillary had won? Of course, we would have had an impeachment trial almost immediately, so that would have goosed ratings for a bit, but nothing like this administration, which has been a gold mine for “news” organizations. Remember what Les Mooves said: “It may not be good for America, but it’s damn good for CBS.”
