Yes, Yes, Yes! Chris Johnson Appointed To Wilmington City Council…
…well, not quite. Council will hold a formal vote on Thursday. But council members who interviewed three candidates have forwarded Johnson’s name to the entire council for confirmation. I can’t think of a single individual in the entire city who I would rather see on council. On issues such as economic justice, criminal justice, environmental racism, and on the entire spectrum of what government should prioritize, Chris is absolutely resolute. He’s also one of the most knowledgeable people on these issues I’ve ever met.
This has made my day. Well, this and the (alleged) fact that I absolutely killed it in my fantasy football draft last night…
Hopefully he won’t screw this up like he screwed up the bathroom discrimination EO.
