Delaware’s Unclaimed Property Czar Is…Brenda Mayrack. Ya gotta admit, this is one of the greatest money-raising gimmicks any state has ever come up with. It’s really too bad that Mayrack was such a bad candidate–she would have been an outstanding auditor.
“Nighty-night. Don’t Let The Bedbugs Bite.” I don’t generally post directly from Daily Kos, But I liked the snark factor of this takedown of Trump’s Doral resort.

How Rethugs Are Shutting Down Federal Elections Commission. Just don’t nominate anybody, just don’t confirm anybody. Right in time for 2020, just like Moscow Mitch planned it.

Mayrack wasn’t a bad candidate. She lost to an incumbent in a mid-term election prior to when Democrats started voting in mid-terms. She notched 45.8% (103k votes) while Sean Barney only managed 43.6% (100k) in an open seat race.
She was a bad candidate. She rubbed people the wrong way and turned off people who were working on her campaign. The characteristics that would have made her a good auditor made her a bad candidate.
Wagner was a weakened candidate, and she might have taken him out if she had been a bit more diplomatic.
Barney was a weak candidate for whom the term ‘lickspittle’ applied. And Simpler was the better candidate.
Not my memory of it, but ok.
Log Cabin Republicans are in disarray over the Trump endorsement. The executive director and several board members have resigned.
