Democrats, The true impeachment is the defeat of all Republicans next November

Filed in National by on November 14, 2019

It is vital for the health of our democracy that this impeachment hearing take place in the House and the impeachment trial proceed in the Senate.

But it is even more vital that we do not pin our desire for justice on any smoking-gun testimony or Senate outcome.

The true impeachment happens next November, when all Republicans are defeated at every level of government.

Get involved in a local or state race today for a candidate who shares your values, and work your ass off. The Delaware Trump Party must be left like Carthage after the Third Punic War. No stone laying atop another.

People who think impeachment is pointless aren’t thinking ahead. The Senate acquittal of Trump is going to create a backlash against the Republican Party.

    • jason330 says:

Agreed. Getting all of those Trump Party members on record with some version of, “LOL, nothing matters” is vitally important.

    • bamboozer says:

As noted the senate will probably not convict and every Republicans will be on record supporting what Trump has done. It will be a costly “victory” for which the Republicans may well pay a big price and suffer the defeat they so well deserve. And Trump will remain Trump and generate fresh fiascos to make it even worse.

    • Stat says:

So the purpose of the impeachment proceedings and never ending investigations are all designed to effect an election outcome?

      • Alby says:

No, the purpose is to show people like you what a criminal they elected. I’m talking about the effect, not the intent.

See, all the usual deplorables are out in force. That’s because they know he’s a criminal and that they have abetted a criminal, hence they, too, are criminals.

A guilty conscience sucks, doesn’t it, little man?

But as long as you’re pretending to be even dumber than you actually are, anything a politician does in the context of his or her job is by definition political.

The difference is that Trump SOLD OUT AMERICA. Just like you.

      • John Kowalko says:

Actually the purpose of the impeachment proceedings is to pursue a just verdict and punishment for a treasonous criminal who has allied himself with the most powerful fascist dictatorship, Russia, and its conscienceless head, Putin. Trump’s acts of treason, corruption, abuse of power and immoral behavior leave no alternatives to save American democratic principles and idealism other than impeachment. The most difficult aspect to accept is the fact that Trump’s motivation for many of his actions seems to be based in a purely mercenary motive to enrich himself and his Republican allies and their handlers. But one thing should be obviously clear. Allowing the current occupant of the Whitehouse to destroy the integrity, stability and morality of America is not political and cannot be allowed to continue unchallenged in hopes of a remedy at the ballot box. The willful damage he is inflicting on this country and the world, aided, abetted and enabled by the recalcitrant attitude of the Republicans (Graham, Meadows, Jordan, Nunez etc.) has to be challenged, stopped and punished immediately.
        Representative John Kowalko

        • Stat says:

There you go embarrassing yourself again.

          • Alby says:

How do you figure? You’re the fool. Have been for quite some time now.

If you weren’t scared, you wouldn’t be here.

          • John Kowalko says:

            Stat,
            Cocktail Hour’s here.
Hurry, hurry. You and the rest of Trump’s “toilet drinkers” step right up since I’m about to flush and you don’t want to miss the good pieces floating on top. Use straws and spoons like your Fox and Friends buddies for a more fulfilling experience.

Wait. So a constitutionally prescribed political process is political? Holy fucking shit you’re on it.

    • ben says:

      fuck off, magat.
What’s political is the GOP’s cultish obedience to a rapist. The House has to, by law, impeach this lawless fuckwad.

  3. jason330 says:

It is funny about these #MAGATS. If I found out that my Senator was a collaborator in selling out the country, or an accomplice in the cover up, it would influence my voting decision.

  4. nathan arizona says:

Fucking up the norms of government is what the deplorables want. Trump was more or less running on that platform.

    • Jason330 says:

True. And they aren’t even looking for any real benefit other than having some assurance that it hurts the right people (the browns) the most.

      • ben says:

most MAGATs dont care if it also hurts THEM. they’re such whiney victims they only know how to function if they are bent over a barrel by richer (and in their minds, better) people. Like you said, as long as it hurts “them” these shit stains are happy. yes, RSE, im talking about you personally and all your magaty fellow trump voters broadly.

  5. Keeping it Real says:

You losers need anger management therapy. What you accuse Trump of, the Clinton’s actually did and got away with. The Steele dossier was purchased from the Russians, the Clinton foundation benefited from Bill’s exorbitant speaking fees overseas while Hillary was Secretary of State, the Uranium One scandal adversely harmed our national security, etc…….Wake up.

    • Alby says:

You’re just making shit up now…or rather, you believe a bunch of made-up shit. “The Steele dossier” is a dead giveaway.

Nobody needs any dossier to see that Trump does Putin’s bidding. Whatever the reason, it’s reason enough to pitch the con man from office, into jail and onto the gallows.

I never supported Hillary, but you support a traitor. That makes you a traitor.

Also, too, I’d say the one who needs anger management therapy is the one who visits sites he disagrees with just to leave unwanted commentary. In other words, picking fights.

      You, sir, are an asshole.

    • Alby says:

Furthermore, I have publicly and often railed against what I see as corruption of this sort by Democrats. Look it up. A bunch of people quit this site over the refusal of myself and others to overlook the self-dealing of the Clintons and the numerous Democrats like them.

This site spends a significant amount of its effort talking about exactly this kind of corruption by Delaware Democrats. Can you legitimately claim that conservatives do the same? If so, prove it — provide links of conservative commentary taking Republicans to task for the sort of insider benefits both parties receive.

I’ll save you time — there are none. It’s what reveals all your what-aboutism for the cynical lie it is. You’re not against corruption, you’re against Democratic corruption. You’re just fine with every corrupt practice that has kept the GOP from collapsing under the weight of its own lies for the past 20 years.

    • Ben says:

Know what, dumbass? Fine. Lock the Clintons up too. You think they matter to anyone other than alt-Reich goatfuckers?

  6. Jason330 says:

“What you accuse Trump of, the Clinton’s actually did and got away with.”

LOL. that’s why we all say “President Hillary Clinton” now.

    Hit the road, dummy.

  7. Robberbaron says:

You don’t even know the definition of traitor. Wake up.

  8. Nancy Willing says:

When Dan Gaffney pointed out the all Republican County Council voted to raise taxes with an addition
3 % lodging tax, caller “Frank in Laurel” blasted the council, and THEN Councilman Sam Wilson called to try and defend himself. You might say, things didn’t go so well after that…. 17 minutes with Frank, then Sam and callers challenging Sam.
