Trump Doesn’t Remember. Barr Doesn’t Remember. Peter Gabriel doesn’t remember. I remember. Try to remember. Hey, every now and then, it’s fun to beat a theme to death…
Trump Sales Pitch: Plenty Of Foreign Governments For DC Hotel. Presumably they omit that those clients won’t feel compelled to stay there if Trump doesn’t own the hotel.
NJ Progressives Stop Conservadems From Gutting $15 Minimum Wage. Hey, at least New Jersey passed the minimum wage bill. The Chamber, Carney, and his corporate legislative lackeys have stopped that from happening here.
How Trump Tax Credit For The Poor Paid For Billionaire’s Super-Yacht Marina. This being Florida, it’s no surprise that Rick Scott’s slimy fingerprints were all over this.
Trump’s Ambassadors: Uniquely Unqualified. Only 5% of his appointees have even a passing knowledge of the countries they’re assigned to.
A Drag Queen Walks Into An Impeachment Hearing…: ‘The frisking was the most enjoyable part of my day’.
All Is Forgiven: Croda To Resume Making Toxic Chemicals Next-Door To Residential Communities. What, you thought Carney and DNREC would take a stand against environmental racism? They enable environmental racism.
Worth The Price Of A Subscription: News-Journal creates a database of legislators’ finances. Would it shock you to know that Our PAL Val Longhurst omitted her salary as head of the Police Athletic League? Didn’t think so.
What do you want to talk about?
One item that’s missing from the legislative financial disclosure forms is how much money legislators get from their jobs. All they have to do is list any sources of income over $1000, but they don’t have to list how much over $1000 they get.
Meaning, Nicole Poore’s form does not list what her salary is at Jobs For Delaware Graduates. Our PAL Val’s form doesn’t list how much she makes from the Police Athletic League. So, it’s kinda worthless in that regard. The problem? The law would have to be changed to require those disclosures, something that legislators who benefit from the system would never support.
That’s an absurd “disclosure.” Maybe when some fresh blood gets in.

Exactly. In an ethical legislative body, the rules would require that the financial disclosure forms be a ‘one-stop shop’ for information.
Oh, and the newspaper wouldn’t have to FOIA the information. It would be available to the public 24/7.
One more thing. If the forms are accurate, then there are a whole lotta legislators who don’t even have $5K in any kind of financial instruments. Color me more than skeptical…
The financial disclosure shows once again that the legislature is a self serving orgsnization
On the Bolivian front, even the mainstream press is calling it a coup:
