I didn’t watch much. I don’t like the sniping, especially when they agree on all the important stuff if not all the details.
Anyway, I don’t have much to say about the candidates individually, I just love the stage full of such a diverse selection of Americans. Gays, Hawaiians, Old Dudes, Women Senators, Rich Guys, a Taiwanese-American… Pretty awesome. I’m old enough to remember when this type of thing would be composed entirely of white guys who went to Yale or Harvard.
Nice to see this overshadowed by the impeachment hearings. OTOH, it helps Biden. He was apparently pantsed on race again by Cory Booker, but nobody’s gonna know about it. Biden was apparently reduced to hiding behind the fact that polls find him popular with African Americans.

The effort to portray Biden’s gaffes as a side effect of stuttering – a condition that has literally never come up in some 40 years of political life in Delaware – is a master stroke.
Any verbal misstep he makes is now the consequence of a disability for which he cannot be criticized.
To whomever came up with that – Bravo.
He’s always had the rat-a-tat delivery (and sincerity) of a used car salesman. Now, he’s supposedly struggled with a stuttering issue all his life.
Not buying it.
