‘Bulo’s Fave Tunes Of 2019: #’s 50-31
OK, let’s get a few things out of the way first. I’m a 68-year-old white guy. I consider myself musically adventurous–for a 68-year-old white guy. Some genres just don’t appeal to me. ‘Dance pop’, whatever that is, being one of them. Rap, while represented on my list, will invariably be underrepresented. Death metal will not appear. I feel like I should love Lucy Dacus and Big Thief, but I don’t. I hate autotune. You get the idea. It’s my list, and this is where I’m coming from.
Don’t worry at all about my ordering of the songs–I don’t worry much about it either. At least, not until I get to the Top 10.
I hope to do a Spotify list of these as soon as my youngest daughter gets home and shows me how to do a Spotify list.
I will also do a feature on my 100 fave songs of the decade. Hopefully in a Spotify format. I’ve been working on that one for some time and with some great input from my family. It’s gonna rock.

Nice list. The Menzingers and Dogleg really got the blood rushing on a dark afternoon with threat of wintery mix. Joan Shelley and Molly Tuttle make the folk scene proud, except the Shelley video could use a little less butterfly. The one by the Nationals guy is purty. I’m leaving out some good ones, but I won’t leave out Yola. Looking forward to 30-1.
Thanks. If I put them in a Spotify list, you won’t even see the butterfly.
There’s lotsa good tunes to come.
Too many for one day, you fiend.
Since I’m doing a Top 100 for the decade, I figured I’d better move fast…maybe I’ll slow down tom’w.
