UPDATED: Say “Yes!” to Jess …and DL will match any pledge you make today

THANKS!! We got the $200 and matched it for a opening day total of $400.00 from DL and the DL family. Of course, Coons' is going to be well funded by the bloated plutocrats who are making a killing from his banking derelgulation, and basic lap-dog approach to being in the Senate, so we all need to be ready to roll. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I'm sick of talking about how Coons is no moderate when it comes to negotiating with Republicans from a position of weakness. I'm fed up with reporting on how he is constantly supporting millionaires and big banks over Delawareans. That's why I'm please to say that we now have a way to work for positive change that doesn't involve constantly pointing out that Coons puts his loyalty to the National Prayer Breakfast above his loyalty to Delawareans. Read up on Jessica Scarane, and make a pledge in the comments to support her campaign and when the pledged donations hit $200, I'm putting in my $200 so your contribution will be instantly matched. Go to Jessfordelaware.com to get started.
I’m running to fight the broken system of power that rewards an elite few at the expense of the majority of us. We face big, structural problems in this state and country: prohibitively expensive healthcare, segregated and underfunded schools, scarcity of affordable housing, and looming climate catastrophe. In order to tackle these issues, we need elected officials who will take power back from corporations and return it to the people.
I'd love to match 40 pledges of $5.00 because you know the average Coons donation from the bloated plutocrats that love him are going to be the max. The good news is that the bloated plutocrats that comprise Coons' base are not Delawareans or Democrats, so they are twice ineligible to vote in the primary.

Coons Getting a Primary Challenge

Chris Coons has been working hard at provoking this primary challenge.

Chris Coons, the corporate-friendly Delaware senator and Joe Biden ally, will get a primary challenger in 2020, according to a Federal Election Commission filing.

Jessica Scarane filed her statement of candidacy last Thursday and will formally announce her candidacy on Monday. Scarane spent most of her career at tech startups; she’s currently a business analyst at the Archer Group, a digital design and marketing company. She also serves as the board president of a statewide nonprofit in Wilmington called Girls Inc., which provides mentorship and support for teenage women. Scarane graduated from Syracuse University in 2006.
Careful what you wish for, Chris.

Highlands Bunker – E41 – Finger on the Scale

Ed Note: This is going to get lost in the blizzard of news that is coming down. That's a shame because Paul Baumbach is a solid legislator with some great insights.

State Representative Paul Baumbachjoins RE Vanella in the bunker to talk about how he got into politics, some of the issues that he has worked on in his career in Dover, and the parts of Delaware politics that need to change.
