Watch the Ad That Has Trumpies Shitting Bricks

Filed in National by on March 26, 2020

Diaper Donnie’s campaign has sent a letter to TV stations airing this campaign ad from Priorities US not only demanding that they refuse to air it, but that their broadcasting licenses could be pulled if they don’t.

In the interest of the Streisand Effect, I encourage everyone to watch it.

Serious question: Is it possible that TV stations could be moved by this threat:

The letter reads in part: “your station has an obligation to cease and desist from airing [the ad] immediately to comply with FCC licensing requirements, to serve the public interest, and to avoid costly and time-consuming litigation.”

I mean, I know that this is page 1/sentence 1 of the Trump playbook, and that it works against vendors that he stiffs – but could it work against TV stations?

Nah, it’s standard boilerplate for this sort of complaint. Of course, the Trump assholes might follow through on the costly litigation part, but good luck to them. Their problem is going to be proving that the “hoax” line is false and misleading, given that the words are straight from his mouth/anus.

    It’s a great ad/PSA.

I remember Hillary’s 2016 ad that showed Trump imitating and mocking a reporter’s disability. The clip was repeated several times, as if to say “Behold! how horrible Trump is! (Therefore you must vote for me!)”

Based on my own TV viewing, that was Hillary’s favorite ad, the one she thought would surely close the deal. It seemed to be on every time I looked at the TV. I cringed, realizing that ad wouldn’t change any minds, and didn’t make the case for the Democrat.

I hope Joe isn’t going to make “Behold the horror!” his whole advertising strategy.

This isn’t his campaign, it’s a Super PAC. But I take your meaning.

Also, too, those Hillary ads were highlighting bad behavior. This one actually shows how wrong he was. Even RWNJs have grandmas, and many of them are grandmas.
