‘I’m Not Fucking Losing To Joe Biden’.  Thus said an incredulous Trump before lambasting his campaign team for his sinking poll numbers.  The numbers have placed The Very Stable Genius in an even fouler mood than usual.  Which leads me to…

“It’s Gonna Go, It’s Gonna Leave”.   Your commander-in-chief:

BTW, he said that yesterday.

Florida Refuses To Release Accurate Covid-19 Numbers.  That’s one way to keep the statistics respectable–and to justify the reopening of the state.

Everything Falls Apart, Ctd.  Global. US. The latest carnage:  1,040,488 confirmed cases and 60,999 deaths in the US. There’s some good news as the early tests on remdesivir indicate that symptoms improve after taking it. Not a cure, but a promising treatment.

Campaign Lit Masquerades As ‘Public Service’Blue Delaware posted this story a couple of days ago. Can we state the obvious? Nobody, nobody, needs to get the basic information provided in this mailer from their state reps or senators.  The information is everywhere. This is just a blatant political mailer.  Of course, the mailer does have pictures of elected officials who are up for reelection, so there’s that.  I guess the mailer provides political cover for those who aren’t working in Dover which, admittedly, is not their fault.  The cynicism of Sen. Delcollo and Rep. Brady joining forces, though, is palpable.  They have some ED’s in common with 4153 registered voters in both SD 7 and RD 4. I believe that the addle-brained Brady would lose to pretty much any decent D in RD 4, and we know that Delcollo faces a strong challenge in SD 7. No elected Democratic official should ever partner with someone like Delcollo.  One final point: I’ve been at this for about 40 years now.  I can’t ever recall a candidate’s political committee being formed as an LLC, until Delcollo’s.  What does that limited liability protect Delcollo from? Lying?

100 Days Of Coronavirus Denial.  This is an easy-to-digest timeline of Trump’s denialism. E-clip ‘n save.

Another 3.84 Million Americans Filed For Unemployment Last Week.  Real people, real jobs lost.  Officially, over 30.3 million jobs lost since the pandemic started. The real total is undoubtedly much higher.

    • Think about it. What kind of person(s) would go out of their way to do something like this?

    • Andrew C says:

We (fairly) criticize Lisa Blunt-Rochester for a lot of things, but reading into the story she really kept her cool and did her best to keep things focused when that incident happened.

“It was racist, it was sexist — it was immature,” she said. “My first reaction was not to be upset. My first reaction was that we will not let hate take us down. And I think that that is the message right now for this whole epidemic … For those of you doing those things that exemplify love every single day, thank you.”
