The Last Guy ™ spoke at some conservative circle jerk.  I don’t know what he said, but people think that it is good news for Joe Biden.  Ok, I guess.

Biden defended his decision to not get up in Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s grill  after a U.S. intelligence report said what we all know – Saudi Crown Prince could dismember someone on 5th ave

Senate Democrats “Plan B” on minimum wage is worse than a $11.00 linked to inflation.  A tax “penalty” that large corporations will spend billions to avoid, and an ill-defined benefit that Dems will not be able to take any credit for… genius!

Freddie’s Beach Bar, the gay bar that has been operating in Arlington, Va. since 2001, is planning to open a Freddies in Rehoboth. So gay bars are still is thing.

Virginia is legalizing Recreational Marijuana.  Delaware’s Cop Legislature is still worried about cops not being allowed to hassle people over nothing.

It will take another adjacent state to get legalization here, the cop lobby is too strong, ignorant and evil to allow what is right in this state. Never, ever support a retired cop as a Dem, it was eternal stupidity to begin with as they are all Nazis at best.

  2. Alby says:

Interesting report from David Cay Johnston, who literally wrote the book on Trump, about a scheme to funnel money looted from a bank in Kazakhstan into a Trump Tower in Moscow.

Guys, the big question in DE our lazy corporate press continues to side step is “Carney shielding inmates from covid”? Weasel politicians & press is what we have here. DE HAS A VERY BAD HISTORY ON PRISON OPERATIONS.

    • A very bad history of prison operations, PLUS a very bad history of throwing non-violent offenders in jail.

A little history: Gov. Pete DuPont fired James Vaughn from his position as Commissioner of Corrections back, like, in the late ’70’s. Vaughn got elected to the State Senate, got appointed to run the Corrections Committee in the Senate, and controlled the purse strings (and, hence, the policies) of the Department for the next 25 years or so. He was not, to put it mildly, enlightened.

  4. Gotta say. Saw some of the Last Guy’s screed at CPAC. I don’t think it’s gonna wear well, even with Rethugs. It’s tired, it’s repetitious. In a straw mock presidential poll at the gathering, only 55% voted for Trump. Only 68% said he ought to run again. This, after less than two months.

It’s not like absence will make the heart grow fonder, especially since how can you miss him when he won’t go away?

    • Alby says:

On the negative side, Florida’s DeSantis was the big winner in the CPAC straw poll. They have a deep…actually, it’s not a bench, it’s a toilet.

    • Paula says:

That’s got to be a song of the day — Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks, “How Can I Miss You When You Won’t Go Away?”

  5. This Madison Cawthorn guy. Virtually EVERYTHING in his bio is a lie:

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/02/27/making-madison-cawthorn-how-falsehoods-helped-propel-career-new-pro-trump-star-far-right/?arc404=true

If you can, you should read the entire piece. Here’s an excerpt:

“Today, less than two months after being sworn in, Cawthorn has emerged as one of the most visible figures among newly arrived publicity-hungry House Republicans, including Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, who have promoted baseless assertions and pushed a radicalized ideology that has become a driving force in the GOP.

The story of Cawthorn’s rise is, by any measure, an extraordinary accomplishment at a young age by a man who suffered a horrific injury. But an examination by The Post of how he ascended so quickly shows how even one of the most neophyte elected Republicans is adopting the Trump playbook, making false statements about his background, issuing baseless allegations about voter fraud and demonizing his political opponents.

Cawthorn won his campaign with a brief résumé that included working at a Chick-fil-A, a part-time role in a congressional office, the single semester of college and fledgling work as a real estate investor. He was boosted by a last-minute $500,000 blitz by a political action committee that trashed his primary opponent as a “Never Trumper,” which the opponent said was false. Cawthorn’s campaign website said Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), who is Black, wanted to “ruin” White males running for office, an assertion Booker denounced as “rank racism.”

Cawthorn’s election also came despite an extraordinary effort by former classmates and other alumni of Patrick Henry College urging that the voters of North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District reject him on grounds of alleged sexual misconduct. Three women told The Post in on-the-record interviews that they objected to Cawthorn’s behavior, with one saying he tried forcibly to kiss her after she rejected his advance.”

That’s just a taste. Even by Rethug standards, this guy is a liar’s liar.

  6. Joe Connor says:

How to win the mid terms:
1.Pass the best stimulus bill possible and push for more
    2. Let Merrick Garland do his job on 1/6
    That’s it. That’s the plan:)!

  7. All Seeing says:

Thanks for the history lesson El Som. Even more shocking. Seems they are in a fix they can’t get out of. No wonder the fed came in on the prison.
