Being a Delaware Republican must feel like being a Dallas Cowboys fan.  Your ownership is scum, you have to live with knowing that you suck, you just know you will lose in some novel and embarrassing fashion, and in the meantime you need to hang around with the worst people.  Like this fucking guy:

Join the Sussex County Republican Women’s Club at their Wednesday meeting featuring guest speaker Climatologist David Legates. More information is available at https://www.scrwc.net/club-meetings

Legates’s totally legit research has been funded by Koch Industries, the American Petroleum Institute, and ExxonMobil.

George Santos and REV – Both Lula Supporters

A Brazilian drag artist who says she knew George Santos when he dressed in drag in Brazil remembers the congressman during his younger years as a supporter of the country’s progressive president, not as the ultra-conservative politician he says he is now.

The artist Eula Rochard made headlines for circulating a photo she says is of Santos dressed in a red dress.

But in an interview with Insider, she said what’s puzzling to her is how Santos went from backing left-wing president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, known as “Lula,” to his current political incarnation.

“Low unemployment” is “bad” for the “economy”.  And now I’m outta scare quotes for the month.

From the BLS: Regional and State Employment and Unemployment Summary

Unemployment rates were higher in December in 7 states, lower in 5 states, and stable in 38 states and the District of Columbia, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Thirty-five states and the District had jobless rate decreases from a year earlier, 4 states had increases, and 11 states had little change.

Utah had the lowest jobless rate in December, 2.2 percent. The next lowest rates were in North Dakota and South Dakota, 2.3 percent each. The rates in Alaska (4.3 percent) and Pennsylvania (3.9 percent) set new series lows. (All state series begin in 1976.) Nevada had the highest unemployment rate, 5.2 percent.

Can we please just stop using the terms “Classified” and “Top Secret”?    They appear to mean nothing.

A lawyer for former Vice President Mike Pence discovered about a dozen documents marked as classified at Pence’s Indiana home last week, and he has turned those classified records over to the FBI, multiple sources familiar with the matter told CNN.

The FBI and the Justice Department’s National Security Division have launched a review of the documents and how they ended up in Pence’s house in Indiana.

Cold War era Doomsday Clock Guys – “We’re still here.”

‘Doomsday Clock’ moves closer to midnight amid Ukraine war

A group of scientists and security experts have moved their “Doomsday Clock” to 90 seconds to midnight, their most pessimistic prognosis yet. They published their statement in Russian and Ukrainian for the first time.

The time on the clock was moved to 90 seconds to midnight for 2023. Midnight is supposed to symbolize the end of humanity.

I love the guy calling himself George Santos. Absolutely epic bit. Definite presidential potential there.

I’ve mentioned before, Karl & I have a great right-wing reactionary turn ready if things get desperate. Sort of a mash-up of Jeanine Pirro and Alex Jones.

Santos: At last a bull shit emerges that can give Trump a run for his money, suggest he is Trump’s perfect running mate for 2025. “Low Unemployment” is the enemy of upper management, it allows workers to demand higher pay, benefits even. As such I Love It!
My former Republican brother, now independent called this one: Search any longtime politicians house, villa or private island and suspect a document or two will be found. The idiots have never given them a number to track and am betting there are hundreds out there. As noted the idiots also slapped “Classified” on a great many documents that should not be classified as such. So glad I did not “Go to Washington” after I graduated.

For decades candidates on both sides have been promising policies to create more jobs. Now the jobs are here! But now the Federal Reserve can’t seem to get rid of them fast enough.

I bet politicians, out of habit, still try to run on policies to “create jobs” or run against “job-killing” policies.

There’s about a six month lag or so between interest rate hikes and effects on slowing the economy. So when the Fed keeps raising rates by a large amount EVERY MONTH, they will inevitably overshoot and you know there will probably be a Fed-engineered jobs recession by the end of the year.

I say “probably” a recession, because the downward pressure of the Fed hikes is fighting against the expansionary effects of Biden’s investment. But I think the Fed is determined to win that battle. No soft landing for you!

I’ve been cleaning out my basement, and I’m starting to worry that I’ll find some classified documents down there.

I have to say more and more i am considering selling my business and getting into politics, not to win but to lose, call it rigged, say there was widespread fraud, go on any tv/radio/pod show and yell and scream and just make money. i really have a hard time believing that any republican really wants to win an election. its much easier and probably more profitable to lose and start the rube grift. seriously, how hard is it to zoom from your house every day and set up a place to take donations?
