Delaware State Sportsmen’s Association  Statement on Louisville Mass Shooting

Filed in Satire by on April 11, 2023
PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT
For Immediate Release
Soon Delaware will stop falling behind other states in the race to have more and bloodier mass shootings.  Our efforts to overturn House Bill 450 which effectively and immediately bans a long list of commonly owned assault weapons and high capacity magazines will get Delaware out of the basement in terms of large and bloody mass murder events.
Delaware deserves to be on the forefront of collecting the nation’s heartfelt thoughts and prayers.  That we are a net exporter of thoughts and prayers to places like Louisville and Nashville is a distressing situation that we are currently addressing in the courts.

Yikes! Sounds like Onward To A Strange And Sick “Victory” to me. Having played in more country bars then you’ve got clean socks I must admit I kept my mouth shut for the most part when it comes to guns, as I have seen the song and dance before ad nauseam. But noticed they never associate guns with murder most foul and the slaughter guns can produce, children included.

  2. Paul says:

The logical outcome of our kind of gun enthusiasm is a country at war with itself, living in a cratered landscape not unlike the topography of western Europe during WWI.

    • puck says:

I think the logical extension is once the density of concealed-carry handguns reaches some tipping point, red state gun nuts will start shooting it out with each other over imagined slights and grievances.

      • GeoBumm says:

Hey now, I’ve been told that ‘An armed society is a polite society.’ Are you telling me those that carry their peice everywhere they go are actually harboring fears and insecurities that could manifest themselves into irrational actions with lethal outcome that could otherwise, absent a weapon, be settled with stern words? I’ve been had! (again).

      • Those Crazy Liberals! says:

Blue cities have already reached the tipping point…

      • Jason330 says:

This is already happening fairly frequently.

Omnibus tormentis omnibus, omni tempore, quacumque de causa

As the 2nd Ammnt says – All guns to anyone, at all times, for any reason.

Speaking of the gun mayhem of “stand you ground” running into “open carry” …

Two road raging dads shot each other’s children, only one is charged

The Nassau County road rage incident was described as a “cat and mouse” game that ended with two girls in the hospital. Only one shooter was charged.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The man who fired first in an October road rage incident in which two children were shot will not be criminally charged. The man who returned fire, however, has been charged with seven counts of attempted murder, aggravated assault and shooting or throwing deadly missiles.
According to prosecutors, 44-year-old Frank Allison’s first shot was a justifiable use of force, because 36-year-old William Hale was the primary aggressor. They say Hale tried to run Allison off the road on U.S. 1 near Callahan and threw a water bottle at his car.
