The announcements were made at a Working Families Party event this morning at the Wilmington PAL.  The following were endorsed:

Adrianna Leela Bohm, SD 1.  Running against incumbent Dan Cruce.

Shay Frisby, SD 5.  Running against incumbent Ray Seigfried.

Shané Darby, RD 1.  Running against incumbent Nnamdi Chukwuocha, maybe.  He hasn’t yet filed.

Rae Krantz, RD 6.  Running against lobbyists’ puppet Ed Mulvihill–IF he files.

Pamela Salaam, RD 16.  Running against incumbent Franklin Cooke.

Will Imbrie-Moore, RD 19. Running against incumbent Kim Williams.  Neither candidate has filed yet.

WFP leaders called this the ‘first wave of endorsements’ as there may well be others.

  1. The MoMo says:

Did they share any reason for not endorsing against Griffith? Is another candidate on their way ?

    • Don’t know for sure.

Keep in mind, though, that a candidate has to seek the endorsement.

I WILL say that Rob Bahnsen is certainly doing everything you’d want a challenger to do.

  2. Really enjoyed the WFP Candidates Kickoff Event yesterday. As I was driving down Philly Pike into Wilmington, XPN played ‘We’re A Winner’ by Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions. If that’s not an omen, I don’t know what is.

Loved seeing so many longtime friends. The speeches from the candidates were first-rate. Shay Frisby delivered a deeply-moving address using no notes. I learned things about her that I didn’t know, and I’ve been campaigning for her for a year. If she delivers that speech everywhere she can, there’s no way she loses.

Pamela Salaam’s only flaw was that, after her PERFECT CLOSING LINE, she should have just dropped the mic instead of handing it back to Karl Stomberg. She’s a force of nature. I can’t imagine anyone in her district not liking her.

Adrianna Bohm’s priorities were so well-thought out that you can just see her in Dover. She’d make such a difference. And, yes, Vivian Houghton was there to cheer her on, along with the rest of us.

Rae Krantz, who came with family and her volunteer team, did a fantastic job on laying out her legislative priorities. I now think she’s in a fantastic position to win.

And Will Imbrie-Moore got the crowd going with some great red meat attacks on the Delaware Way. Mark my words, he’s got quite the bright future.

Each of the candidates came with their own group of volunteers, which is precisely what you want to see from grassroots campaigns.

Several of us went out to hit the doors after the event.

    A great day all around.

  3. Eric Blair says:

The establishment incumbents are in for campaign pressure they could never have imagined. I suggest they realize they should spend more time with their families. Many of their colleagues are about to be retired in disgrace.

  4. mediawatch says:

Bahnsen is doing a great job of knocking on doors in the 12th while Krista sucks up to her corporate funders. He’s already visited our house twice. We chatted for 20-30 minutes each time, and we’re among the first in our neighborhood to have one of his signs planted on our lawn.
