Rethug Congressional Candidate Is A Piece O’ Shit:
A forum designed to be the first opportunity for candidates for Delaware’s statewide offices in the general election season took a nasty turn, after a candidate for the U.S. House misgendered his opponent.
Republican “Dr. Joe” Arminio referred to Rep. Sarah McBride (D) using the term “his”, and then later a “gentleman”, before he was asked to leave the candidates form hosted by the Jewish Federation of Delaware at the Siegel Jewish Community Center in Talleyville Thursday night.
“I’m sorry to have to say that the representative from Delaware, through the net of his comments and his actions, on balance has contributed…..”
At that point, the crowd of about 100 people largely started booing Arminio, who then finished,”I would like to show respect to the speaker, that would be nice.”
McBride is the first openly transgender member of the United States House of Representatives.
Moderator Ken Grant waited until Arminio was finished, then said “this is your final warning, if you fail to show respect to anyone else on this stage, you’ll be asked to leave.”
Dr. Michael Katz, the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate had his opening statement next, and addressed Arminio’s comments.
“I would like to apologize to everybody here and everybody else on this stage. As a physician, I believe in our common humanity and respect for each other. I feel that pain over those comments, and my apologies.”
Following the forum, Katz called for Arminio to exit the race.
Here’s the thing, though–of the two, Arminio is the true Rethug running this year. He did it on purpose, he got the response he wanted.
Next Nazi, Please. Anyone think that Trump’s next appointee, if there is one, will be less of a fascist than this guy?:

The White House said Thursday that it was withdrawing its nomination of Lance Schroyer, a former Oklahoma state trooper, to lead U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ensuring that an agency at the forefront of President Donald Trump’s domestic agenda will remain without a Senate-confirmed leader for at least a while longer.
Schroyer, who has little experience in immigration, is close to Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, a former U.S. senator from Oklahoma.
The White House offered no comment in a brief statement.
The latest setback comes as the agency remains under withering scrutiny over its handling of enforcement operations. Critics have question how ICE has recruited and trained officers as it raced to hire thousands to carry out Trump’s promise of mass deportations. Officers have shot and killed multiple people, including two American citizens in Minneapolis earlier this year.
When Trump nominated Schroyer in June, Trump said on his Truth Social platform that his pick was “a PATRIOT with real operational experience” and a “proven leader with DECADES of experience locking up the worst of the worst.”
Why Democrat(ic Party Political Consultant)s Suck:
Democratic consultants are privately encouraging their battleground candidates to avoid talking about artificial intelligence regulations out of fear that powerful tech groups will unleash a tidal wave of spending against them ahead of November.
That guidance came from strategists in three separate top-tier House races, according to people involved in those races, who were granted anonymity to discuss internal conversations. And it follows a surge in AI panic on Capitol Hill as industry leaders warn about existential threats posed by their rapidly developing technology.
Time Out. “Don’t stand for anything” is why so-called Democratic centrists are losing bigly to candidates who, um, stand for stuff. Please proceed:
Voters are increasingly worried about AI: About two-thirds of Americans say there’s a risk advanced AI could destroy humanity in a new POLITICO Poll. President Donald Trump has called that concern a “hoax,” leaving an opening for Democrats to seize on the issue. But they still are grappling with how hard to go after big tech.
Senior Democrats and candidates are worried that if they go too hard in criticizing AI, industry-affiliated super PACs could drop millions more dollars against them, according to interviews with more than a dozen Democratic lawmakers and strategists.
“We do need to be able to make sure that we’re regulating [AI] and addressing those real fears,” said one senior Democratic strategist working on Senate campaigns, who was granted anonymity to candidly discuss strategy. But “we don’t want AI money coming in.”
Oh nos. The Forces Of Evil will spend even more money to defeat them. As if they’re not gonna do it regardless. Stand up to them, you cowards, run against them, make them the issue, or GTFO of politics. Why is this even a discussion?
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent long wanted in Minnesota for allegedly shooting a Venezuelan immigrant was finally captured by local authorities.
Christian Castro was booked in the Hennepin County Jail on Wednesday. He faces four second-degree assault charges, and another charge for false reporting of a crime, according to the jail’s inmate records. He is being held on a $200,000 bail.
Castro was one of thousands of agents who descended upon Minnesota during Donald Trump’s Operation Metro Surge. On January 14, Castro allegedly chased Alfredo Alejandro Aljorna, a DoorDash driver, to the entryway of his home. Upon arriving at the residence, Castro shot Aljorna’s roommate, Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis, in the leg. Castro claimed at the time that he shot Sosa-Celis in self-defense, purporting that the Venezuelan national had attacked him with a snow shovel.
But even Trump’s Justice Department had a difficult time proving that one. In a rare reversal, the DOJ moved to dismiss charges relating to the assault against Sosa-Celis and Aljorna, and Castro was the one left facing criminal consequences. Surveillance footage of the encounter released in April showed Sosa-Celis tossing the shovel early into his exchange with the ICE agent, and Castro firing shots into the home.
This was the agent that Texas refused to extradite. He’s in a Minneapolis jail now. I only wish he faced the same inhumane conditions prisoners of ICE face every day.
What do you want to talk about?
The whole problem with centrist Democrats and the consultants who feed off them is that they’re groundhogs – scared of their own shadows and what ads Republicans might run against them. They think that if they say nothing about anything Republicans can’t accuse them of anything, no matter how many times Republicans prove they’ll just make shit up if there’s nothing real to run against. Right now, they’re claiming every Democrat is a socialist.
When it comes time to have people walk the plank, Democratic consultants must go first, even before the Trumpers. Because otherwise they’ll be whining the whole time, “We can’t make them walk the plank, they’ll use it against us!”
