President-elect Joe Biden is considering some well-known Republicans — think Meg Whitman types — for Commerce secretary as a way to signal to red-state Americans he understands their concerns and plans to address them.
Red state Americans don’t give a fuck about Meg Whitman. They don’t want to see “signals” of friendship from Biden. They want to see his head on a pike.
Here is a bonus stupid thing that will probably happen:
Biden will cave to conservative pressure to fire (regrettably allow to step down) Jen O’Malley Dillon, (incoming White House deputy chief of staff) because she told the truth about congressional republicans being a “bunch of fuckers”
Jen O’Malley Dillon steps down, it is game over for Biden. The fuckers will have free reign.
