There was this big story a few weeks ago on KYW (make sure to watch the video) about a child-molester on the loose in Newark. The story goes that the guy groped the boy before a game. The police were called and an investigation ensued.
Turns out that the father of an opposing team gave the MLB pat on the back, which happens to be a pat on the behind. I am still getting conflicting stories on the context (before the game or after a good play), but it does seem that this is the case of the media, the police and parents getting themselves worked up over nothing. Or perhaps there is just a lot of groping on Sportscenter every night…
Better to ruin the reputations of 1,000 people then allow one pervert to roam free.
And the MSM is more trustworthy than blogs because they use professional journalism techniques to check out their stories before publishing them… isn’t that how it goes?
