OK, guys, this is the big one.  The night always starts off bad as Kentucky and Indiana report first.  But we might at least get a sense as to the degree of an under-count of Harris voters even in these states, if there is an under-count.

Georgia and North Carolina close pretty early.  I think we’ll know then whether we’ll have a nail-biter on our hands.

  1. Feeling pretty good about Georgia. Trump’s current lead is exclusively built on full results from rural counties.

  2. More worried about Georgia. There are a few counties where Harris has underperformed Biden. There are, however, some R districts where Trump has underperformed 2020.

Kornacki is driving me crazy with his ‘Remember, the same day vote benefits Republicans.’ Well, it did in 2020 when virtually NO Republicans voted early. Ain’t gonna benefit them nearly as much this year, said Captain Obvious.

Black Nazi Mark Robinson has lost the North Carolina governor’s race.

  4. Josh Stein has won the governor’s race in North Carolina.

  5. Getting nervous now. Virginia’s closer than I expected. Georgia’s looking more challenging.

Is it good that Virginia is closer??

      • Alby says:

We don’t actually know how close it is. All we have is partial reporting.

        • We know where the votes are in and where they’re still out based on the NYTimes model. I still think she’s gonna win Va b/c there’s a lot of vote still to go in a couple of key suburban NoVa counties, what bothers me is that she’s not winning as was projected.

Starting to see a trend elsewhere here…

  6. She’s also underperforming in Black rural counties in NC.

She’s gonna have to win all of MI, WI, and PA.

    FUCK!

Even if Harris wins, a reminder that it should never have been this close. And we will need to reckon with the fact that half the country voted for fascism for a long time.

  8. I can’t deal with this. I don’t think that Harris is gonna sweep the so-called Blue Wall. Michigan looks especially iffy.

It frankly didn’t enter my mind that Trump would win.

It now looks like he will.

    I can’t even…

“Nothing comes to mind” will be the epitaph on the tombstone of the Harris campaign
