Maybe Chris will Move to Macedonia ?
Under Republican tax-minimization-based-logic there is no reason for any company to be located anywhere other than Macedonia.
It is a freaking flat tax paradise.
Of course, the United Arab Emirates is still #1 with corporate, personal and VAT tax rates of 0%. But it does contain the word “Arab” in it’s name. So….
Nah…they still have a death tax. The rest of the taxes look pretty good.
Admit it Jason. 10% personal tax looks good (at least when you are paying it), just not when you want to control others.
Don;t be so fast to blow it off.
Only a 2-3% “Death Tax” means that you’ll get to keep most of your mother’s Fanklin Mint collectable plates.
And better yet, with 33 guys in Iraq, Macedonia is part of the Coalition of the Willing! Don’t worry though Chris, you will probably get a really high number in the Macedonian draft.
“Only a 2-3% “Death Tax” means that you’ll get to keep most of your mother’s Fanklin Mint collectable plates.”
The more I can keep the liberals from declaring as their’s, melting them down, selling them for scrap, and adding it to that unofficial politcal war chest they use to buy votes…the happier I am.
Melt your own damn plates down!
Chris is a caricature now.
It’s funny, almost Colbert-like.
Macdeonia is doing well because of their smarter tax policies. Other countries have a zero capital gains rate tax.
A related example, years ago Lufthansa
the German airline moved some maintenance work to Poland to take advantage of tax and work rules.
Just as China is giving us a fit so are former socialist and communist countries giving the economic powers of Europe a headache.

Yes. I represent the average Americans that are going to shock the crap out of you liberals in November ’08. Then you will be looking to move. I here Canada is nice. Free healthcare….if you can actually manage to get an appointment.
All you 12%ers are going to gang up on us in November?
Thanks for the head’s up.
A shocker in ’08? I wonder which way the National Guard will vote after getting screwed out of their benefits because not enough of them died in Iraq?
Oh, good grief! Y’all live in Delaware, and you are combitching about tax havens? Why do you think y’all have no sales tax, why do you think there are so many McMansions in Hockessin Green and Hockessin Valley Falls and Hockessin Chase (can you tell that I used to live in Hockessin?), why do you think that New Castle County can support schools like Ursuline and Archmere and Country Day, why do you think that the First State has the highest rate of private school attendance in the entire nation?
It’s because corporations that do very little business in Delaware, that manufacture their products in Seattle and Tacoma, in Ohio and texas and Missouri, are incorporated in Delaware, due to the favorable incorporation and tax laws.
Delaware has got game – but it is no Macedonia.
Dana,
The high private school rate is a function of the public school product as seen by parents. These private schools are supported by hard working parents who want something better for their children. I think we can make some fundamental changes to make public schools more attractive and productive.
Part of what attracts business to the state is the fine legal system here.
We have no sales tax because we “import” so much of our state revenues from unique sources.
We don’t need to be Macedonia but we do need to improve our tax structure to support savings, growth and investment.
Have a great day.

funniest fucking line ever!
Chris thinks he is average. OH MY GOD….
“Chris thinks he is average. OH MY GOD….”
Well, DV, I know I am in reality “above average”, but I still maintain a level of humility.
I actually love that you believe my views are so out of touch. It will be a toss up who is shocked more come the morning of November 5, 2008…you are Jace boy. It will be fun never the less.
Protack: Surely you realize that the public schools in New Castle County were destroyed by the good citizens of the county back in the seventies, when a federal judge ordered school desegragation, and the city went nuts.
By the time I got there, every parent who could possibly afford private schools put their children there; to send your kids to the public schools was tantamount to child abuse. That’s why schools like Corpus Christi (where my daughters went) are so packed that they have 32-34 students per class, and still have a waiting list.
