And to think, Keith Richards is still alive at 97.

I saw Quiet Riot on one of those ‘where are they now’ shows on VH1 a few years back, and they were still on the road; playing in dive bars, wearing the same stripy spandex gear, and mooning the camera and so forth. Sad. Full disclosure: I thought they totally kicked ass when I saw them open for Black Sabbath back in the 80s.

    I still feel the noise.

Sadly, when Quiet Riot were in their heyday I was still in diapers. Nevertheless, I did come to enjoy them retrospectively and am proud owner of a vinyl copy of Metal Health that I picked up at Goodwill for a dollar.

My initial response when seeing the story was “Man, another old rocker overdose” but reading more about DuBrow, it’s kind of sounding like it may have been a suicide – if so, that’s a shame.

  4. Cynic that I am, I cannot help but wonder how many of these mysterious deaths are due to not being able to afford the spread of last Sunday’s 8:30 game……..

Especially if you thought it was a sure thing and bet millions that you did not have……..

  5. At least he now stops blaming Ozzy for having directly caused Randy Rhodes’ death (bizarre accident). He was a whiny little bitch in that regard.
