    Brain picture: “The earliest road in St. George’s Hundred was laid out in 1660 and was known as ” Herman’s cart road.’* It extended from Bohemia Manor to the Appoquinimink Creek, near the present site of Odessa.

    The next roads of importance were the upper and lower ‘King’s Roads/’ laid out in 1762
    and still in use, the one passing through Odessa, and the other Middletown.”
