For purposes of full disclosure, I also offered Jack Markell and VP-Elect Biden the opportunity to do at least ONE interview in which they would not have to get soaking wet (I live on The Circle); Atkins was the only one to return my call.
…pay no mind to the leftover pizza on the counter… it was a long, rainy, crappy Return Day with the notable exception of Biden’s appearance, and I never got a chance to get off The Circle for some delicious, delectable ox/beef.
Also, to be fair, Atkins had on a suit for the ACTUAL Return Day ceremonies; he changed afterward since, like the rest of us, he was soaked to the bone.
