They also need to get “buy in” vis-à-vis the aforementioned project or risk compounding their risk exposure.

  2. delawaredem says:

    Huh?

    Speak English man.

  3. nemski says:

I thought you said “Republicans need cleavage” and my response, “Who doesn’t?”

  4. jason330 says:

I’m gonna get the GOP to pay me $800.00 an hour for this stuff.

    Mark my words.

  5. PBaumbach says:

Karl Rove writes in the Wall Street Journal. Last week he wrote about what the GOP needs to do. He lists three items:
    1) use polls to help GOP leaders share with the public ideals that are held in common
    2) coordinate training of upcoming candidates
    3) register millions of currently unregistered voters who lean Republican

None of that is brain-surgery, which is to say that he doesn’t answer any of the HOW to accomplish those three points (such as HOW to find ideals held in common with the public and the GOP–a task that appears fairly difficult to me at this time).

Note also that it presupposes that ‘the GOP’ means something. The GOP is currently a fractured body, with evangelicals, neocons, fiscal conservatives, and libertarians all struggling for the party mantle. Oh yeah, also there’s John McCain.

  6. xstryker says:

They should leverage existing capabilities and best practices to deliver rapid execution of critical objectives. They need to work on teamwork and communication, respecting diversity, and recognizing achievement. They will invest in best-in-class infrastructure and will be guided by a global vision that reflects their core values.

  7. xstryker says:

Oops, forgot you already covered “core values” and “leverage”.

  8. jason330 says:

    Six Sigma BITCHES!

  9. xstryker says:

Yes, they’ll need black belts implementing six sigma methodology to minimize the downstream impacts of exceptions during the production phase.

  10. Bob McWilliams says:

They need to repudiate three things: (1) The Christian Right wing and their desire to regulate our personal lives and turn America into a Christian version of Iraq and Iran ; (2) Their free spending ways and how that spending proportionally benefits the wealthy and helps no one in my neighborhood and (3) Discontinue the politics of nastiness – for God’s sake , they are already attacking Obama like Clinton and Obama hasn’t even gotten into office yet. Until they do these three things, they will remain a junk yard dog snarling at everything that goes by.

  11. Lee Ann says:

They also need a paradigm shift that realigns their visioning after conducting a SWOT analysis that identifies their core competencies before they can re-engineer their values to incentivize their customers to vote for them. Only then will they have a robust, World Class party that uses a Balanced Scorecard to measure its performance against that of its competitor and hold its leaders accountable for results.

  12. Bob McWilliams says:

Lee Ann, they can put that on their dashboard and use it to generate Powerpoint slides to communicate to all system users.

  13. Lee Ann says:

Hey Bob, and they said we couldn’t make it in the private sector.

  14. RAY K> says:

Will you stop snowing on my screen before i call the police, I gotta shoval this shit you know.

  15. Bob McWilliams says:

Lee Ann, Been to the private sector working for a large pharma company and done that. For years I was told that government should be run like a business. Then I worked for a large global company and learned that government IS run like a business. What they should say is that governments and large corporations should be run like small businesses……

  16. Joanne Christian says:

Is it me, or did it just start snowing on my screen during the reading of this post? And if it is not snowing, is it medication or glasses I need?

  17. Rebecca says:

Wow it’s snowing! What fun. I’m so glad I don’t have to go out to a meeting tonight. Hot Chocolate Time. Whoo Hoo.

  18. Rebecca says:

I mean, current market conditions would indicate that a strategic merger of domestic dairy and cocoa-imports would satisfy pent up demand.

  19. RAY K> says:

Rebecca; your way of base, in Arabic speaking countrys a healthy flexabilty with the prescribed liqudity cannot be achived under the perimeters of your proposal.

  20. Rebecca says:

    Would goats’ milk work?

  21. RAY K> says:

Rebbecca; only if you suspend ever law of physics known to man. your answer lies in the equation eg=yc+ hk-2. It`s so patently obvious.

  22. RAY K> says:

    Or single malt scotch

  23. Unstable Isotope says:

I think they need to leverage their opportunities for synergy.

  24. G Rex says:

    You left out Tiger Teams©

    (Whee, snow!)

Karl Rove wants his red Swingline stapler back.

  25. liz says:

Karl Rove has been doing his dastardly crap in Switzerland, the most progressive nation in the world. With the right wing lunatic heading that country he invited Rove over…hospitals are now being privatized, schools as well! Rove needs to “go to jail” to stop that loon from inflicting repuke pain in other nations.
