I had been working last night on a lengthy post, covering a range of topics, but with emphasis on the fact that we may be going back to a second shutdown because of how catastrophically we bungled the epidemic in this country. If this happens it will mean all the struggle and sacrifice of the Spring, along with at least a trillion dollars of crisis spending, will have been wasted.
It is easy to simply blame Trump, and to be sure he deserves the bulk of the blame. But Carney, Coons and every dumb, cowardly motherfucker who caved to the "open early for the economy" idiots owns a large share of the blame as well.

Florida was a shithole state in the best of times

Now, with a malignant Trump loving Governor, Florida is the world champion of shithole states. How long until Haiti says "no, merci" to travelers from Florida? Trump still wants the big wet convention in that shithole. Sure. Why not? He can yell about "Democrat" governors keeping schools closed to make him look bad to a packed house of nit wits and confederacy buffs. Masks and hand washing will be banned in order to own the libs. So much winning.

Coons has the answer to Coronavirus; tinkering with the Tax Code. I shit you not

This shows Coons' the deeply diseased mindset. What the country needs now, above all else, is a bipartisan plan to tinker with the tax code to increase the income tax deduction for charitable giving up to $4,000. So if you donate $4,000 to your Church or some social welfare organization like the NRA, you can knock that $4,000 off the top of your income. Tax Breaks! That's the bold leadership America is clamoring for. Ladies and Gentlemen, the Coons plan for fighting coronavirus. Un-fucking-believable.

Should Biden “Debate” Trump?

There are no persuadable voters. There will be no meaningful unpacking of issues. There will only be Trump putting on his Trump show for his fans. What does Biden get out of being prop in the Trump show? How do you even debate someone makes up "facts" on the spur of the moment? I say Biden should pass on taking part in this sham. What do you think? Jonathan Russo writing at TPM thinks Trump has set up a losing dynamic for himself.
However, one thing is certain. Trump has painted himself into a deep corner when it comes to the public’s expectations about Biden’s performance. His mocking descriptions of Biden started months ago with relentless “sleepy Joe” tweets. Then they devolved to, “I honestly don’t think he knows what office he is running for.” Finally, Trump gave some vague warnings that Biden was going to be put in a “home while super left radical crazies run the country.” Trump’s key spokespeople regularly attack Biden’s mental acuity.
