Joe Scarborough is the worst

I've been watching MSNBC in the morning, and while he hates Trump I've concluded - Joe Scarborough is the worst. - Dems in danger of "overplaying thier hand". Such absolute bullshit - The DJIA is the economy, and the economy is doing GREAT! Absolute nonsense. - Ronald Reagan was a God among men. Simple minded idiocy. - Trump isn't a Republican. Yes he is, you dick. - I'm cool because I like Phish. Puke. I'm agnostic on Phish. People like what they like, but middle aged white guys who will not shut up about how cool they are, and who stake thier coolness on what jam bands they like are a-holes.

How much would you pay for all of this DL awesomeness? $1,000 per year?…$10,000?

Don't cut us a check. We deserve it, but we have a better use for your hard earned scratch. On behalf of all that DL has given you on a daily basis, we are asking you to give to the upcoming online fundraiser we will be running for very worthy progressive candidates. We know you've already given to many of the candidates we'll highlight, but we are going to ask you to support people you may not have.
WHATEVER YOU THINK DL's continuing coverage of the political scene in Delaware is worth - save that for the upcoming fundraiser.
Thanks!

Voters continue hating Republicans with a white hot hatred

Breaking: Trump's idiotic minority is a minority.
Shelby County Democrats trounced Republicans last night. Of the 26 county offices up for grabs, Democrats won all but five — and those were previously Republican commission seats. Before the election, Republicans held nine of the 10 most high-profile county offices, including mayor and sheriff. Now, they hold zero. How to describe the devastation of last night's win for Republicans? It was a rout. A sweep. A wave that overwhelmed Republicans who had largely controlled the county — not counting the commission, which had a scant Democratic majority — since 2008. Of course, all eyes were on the mayor's race, where Democrat Lee Harris easily won by more than 10 percentage points: With 153,583 ballots counted as of 11:03 p.m., Harris had 84,956 votes, or 55.3 percent, to Republican David Lenoir's 68,491 votes, or 44.6 percent, according to unofficial results from the Shelby County Election Commission.
Memphis is in Shelby county.

Is Ken Simpler a racist? Yes, he is.

For all of the damage that Trump has inflicted on America, we need to thank the President for one thing. He has stripped away the pretense that the GOP is not a white supremacist, racist organization. Trump has made it absolutely clear that ANY politician running under the "R" banner is complicit in advancing and supporting a white supremacist, racist organization. That includes Ken Simpler and any otherwise "nice" republican still trying to pretend that GOP of 2018 is he GOP of 1990 or even the GOP of 2010. Is it fair to single out Ken Simpler in a headline as a racist? I mean Simpler is probably outwardly nice to the minorities he comes in contact with, but this is much bigger than individual relationships. And if I am wrong, all Simpler would have to do to prove me wrong is renounce his affiliation with the white supremacist, racist organization that is the GOP in the age of Trump. One year after the President aligned the GOP with the white supremacist, racist attacks in Charlottesville, it is not too late for Simpler to do the right thing.

Coons’ One Degree of Collusion – NPB Russian Agent Contact Also in Contact With Trump

Senator Chris Coons' National Prayer Breakfast contact, Mariia Butina, was also in contact with former Trump campaign aide J.D. Gordon in the weeks leading up to the 2016 presidential election, the Washington Post reported Friday. Gordon, who served as a former foreign policy adviser to Trump, told the newspaper he disclosed their meetings and emails in testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee. Coons has still not disavowed his connection with the National Spy Breakfast.
