I've read a lot theories about what Trump might be up to.  From Michael Moore to George Will, these theories are proliferating because the one thing he does not appear to be doing is running for President.  I think the theories are malarkey, and that Trump thinks he can do the job, wants to be President, and is running earnestly for the office, just badly. So I have a competing theory to throw into the mix.  Republican primary voters are stupid.   They knowingly voted for a person who showed no signs of being able to win the office.  They (Republican Primary voters) are just dummies who made a dumb choice.  If you examine their personal lives, you would probably find a robust record of bad choices.

My prediction market of choice is Iowa Electronic Markets (IEM) run out of the University of Iowa. It is the oldest and has been highly predictive over the years. More predictive than polls, anyway. That's why I want to know more about why traders are bidding up "Other" in the congressional control market.

Putin > Yanukovych > Manafort > Trump These are pretty clear cut relationships. Now Manafort has been demoted just ahead of two news items which reveal how deeply Manafort was/is involved with promoting Russian interests in Kiev and DC. The first story deals with $2.2 million secretly routed to DC based lobbying firms in clear violation of federal law. The second deals with Manafort's work to sabotaged US interests in Ukraine which has landed Manafort on a list of war criminals who are now wanted in the Ukraine in connection with the Russian invasion and seizure of the Crimea.

The last sensible Delaware Republican, Mike Stafford, put this on his Facebook yesterday. I could not agree more.

His answer wasn't the local public school! I told him a politician who talks about education reform but doesn't have their kids in public school is like a Chevy salesman who drives a Toyota, only worse- because such a politician is willing to experiment on other peoples' children.

Poor chap. Not only did Copeland sucker him into being on the drubbed side of an electoral drubbing, now he has Lyme Disease. In all honesty, he should drop out. What does he owe the DEGOP? Why should he put his health on the line to spare Copeland the embarrassment of sitting with Laser Lafferty on Return Day? He shouldn't.

John Kasich: "I would be totally winning right now." Ted Cruz: "My Lands, I would be totally winning right now." Marco Rubio: "OMG!, I would be totally winning right now." Jeb Bush:"I would most certainly be well on my way of probably winning right now." Donald Trump: "I am totally winning right now."

Trump continues to search for ways test Charlie Copeland's loyalty, and shed supporters. Today's efforts include continuing to call President Obama the founder of Isis and allowing that he really doesn't give a fuck if he wins or loses.

I realize the the post itself is useless, and the job is a meaningless waste of tax money. But I'm going to play Nate Silver for a second and use statistics to tell you why winning the Lt. Governor's race matters.

According to Celia, two noteworthy things happened during the debate and one note worthy thing happened just after it. Loudell asked a good question: Is this office useless? Ciro Poppiti spoke of himself in the third person during the debate and Bethany Hall-Long had an egregious double-typo in her post debate email "Deomcratic Exeuctive." I learned nothing else about anything, everything else was fluffy and filler. If you doubt that, read it yourself.

Trump hits a new low in suggesting that “The Second Amendment” could “take care” of Hillary Clinton should she beat him in the elections and become President. In a video circulating today from a campaign event in Wilmington, NC, GOP nominee Donald Trump jokes that the “Second Amendment, People,” in other words militantly pro-gun conservatives who themselves own and use guns, might be able to find a way to deal with Clinton selecting Supreme Court justices during her term. This is a fancy way of saying she should be assassinated, and specifically, shot to death by armed citizens.

It is not as if Bonini and Regiel were qualified to hold statewide office. Bonini was shoved into this farce of a governor's race by Copeland who, very sensibly, doesn't want Laser Lafferty representing the DEGOP in the minds of voters. Regiel is another place holder keeping a statewide spot on the ticket warm for Ken Simpler. Nevertheless, they are both now on record supporting Trump, so whatever little credibility they had has dissipated like the gossamer fingers of morning fog that caress the reedy shores of the lazy Appoquinimink river.
