Burns v. Ramone

Incumbents are tough to beat but Burns has a shot in the 21st.  This is probably the most competitive race in the state.

We are now 12 days out, so if you can’t help canvas or phone bank, you should all probably donate ($50, $100, $200) to Burns at this point.

I’m a poor excuse for political blogger. I didn’t watch the Fetterman/Ox debate. I wonder if the last remaining “undecided” voter on PA finally decided? Trump and Obama both won with a populist massage attacking corrupt DC insiders. It is strange to me that Democrats cede the populist terrain to the GOP. I hope Fetterman […]

Me and Coons in the Bagel Shop

Filed in National by on October 25, 2022 6 Comments

Yesterday, I had a bit of a conversation with Senator Coons about how working with Republicans, seeking “common ground” with the people out to end democracy, is not what the times call for. This is what I said about the encounter in a previous comment. I’ll expand my remarks below. He is unmovable and utterly […]

Someone should tell Britain that “pulling out” is the least effective way to protect the country from a Johnson.

Jan. 6 panel will not rule out taking live testimony from Trump, Cheney says

The New York Times is Really Out to Get Biden for Some Reason

The New York Times is Really Out to Get Biden for Some Reason

My own father continues to think that the New York Times is a “liberal” newspaper.  It is maddening. The New York Times continued in its trashing of the economy under President Biden, implying that the 40-year cost of his student loan forgiveness plan will be incurred over a single year.  An article reporting on the […]

Guilt by Association Political Ads

Living in New Castle County, I get a lot of PA political ads on TV.  I also just saw my first Lisa Blunt Rochester TV ad.  She would like you to know that she will “work with ANYONE” which I hope is hyperbole.  I mean, when she wins I hope she steers away from working […]

Delaware’s Jails are for Black & Poor People

Delaware’s Jails are for Black & Poor People

The only “crimes” that really register as crimes among lawyers, juries and judges are street crimes. It is little wonder that black people constitute 23% of state residents, but 56% of the incarcerated population. This picture was always comical. Nobody ever thought Park City was going to see the inside of a jail cell.

20 Days to Go

I really haven’t paid much attention to the mid-term races that have national implications.  I think Fetterman is going to win.  Based on…? I think Herschel Walker is going to lose.  Maybe it would be more true to say, I hope Herschel Walker is going to lose.   Beyond those two races, who knows.   […]

The climate activists from a group called “Just Stop Oil” gained some visibility for their cause by  throwing Heinz tomato soup at Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflowers painting at London’s National Gallery.  That gave some people the vapors, but the world is burning, so fuck your vapors. Speaking of the earth burning, you’ve probably eaten your […]

Ipecac

Everything about this article is vomit inducing.  The picture alone is a photo-journalistic gem.  As they tried to get something “Bipartisan-y”  but the best they could do was Coons smiling like an idiot as McConnell tries to flee.

Republicans are working hard to make this midterm election about street crime. They claim to be against it. Cops claim to be against it as well. Today’s open thread is a loose collection of some cop stuff. Operation “Ruin Our Already Decrepit Reputation” ACLU of Delaware publishes a thorough examination of Delaware’s 25-year old secret […]

Jerry Falwell Jr. Cuckold Fetish Rumors Watch Wrap Up – Coda II

It took Margaret Mitchell ten years to write ‘Gone with the Wind’. Giancarlo Granda the pool boy at the center of the Falwell’s cuckold fetish escapades crushed that timeline. And yet, the previous installment of this series seems like it came out years ago. (Pssst…to see how Fallwell’s cuckold fetish helped make Donald Trump President, […]
