Take the poll – Do you feel funny?
The sidebar poll is usually an afterthought. I typically use it to take a cheap shot at Coons, but I’d like all of our lurkers to take a look at the current poll and give me a sense of where we are with this thing. If you are so moved you may also leave a […]
Watch the Ad That Has Trumpies Shitting Bricks
Diaper Donnie’s campaign has sent a letter to TV stations airing this campaign ad from Priorities US not only demanding that they refuse to air it, but that their broadcasting licenses could be pulled if they don’t. In the interest of the Streisand Effect, I encourage everyone to watch it.

Carney on Morning Joe – Credit where Credit is Due
John Carney took Coons’ spot on Morning Joe this morning and did a very good job. He stuck to the “stay at home & flatten the curve” message, which is working.
To Carney’s credit, in spite of the fact that we don’t have adequate testing capacity, Delaware was an early adopter of “this is serious” approach. It is a realistic outlook that has slowed Delaware’s rates of infection relative to the US in general.
He also managed to get through the entire segment without trashing Democrats – which was very refreshing.
I’m So Old That…
…I can remember when Republicans invented fictional “death panels” so they could accuse Democrats of wanting to kill Grandma.
Republicans for Coons
DelawareLiberal has many Republican readers who support Coons for Senate. We read your comments, and know that you like the fact that Coons shares your values and is eager to undermine Democratic initiatives. You appreciate the fact that he often makes speciaous “both sides” are at fault arguments in the press, thereby providing cover for Republicans. It is natural and fitting that Delaware Republicans support Coons in view of his record.
DelawareLiberal would like to hear your stories. Contact us through the “Got a Tip” link at the top of the page. How much of your support is predicated on the fact that you have no real statewide candidates to support? How much is based on genuine affections for Coons? If you are a Republican that supports Chris Coons for Senate, we want to hear from you directly.

Coons can’t get through 2 minute Morning Joe Segment without trashing Dems
Coons just spent his daily Morning Joe segment touting his experience running New Castle County and little else. Because he can’t go two minutes without undermining Democrats, he did mention that some of his Democratic colleagues were trying to derail a $1 Trillion stimulus agreement with Mitch McConnell by bringing in “extraneous issues” that […]
Will Collaborationists Coons and Carper Vote for McConnell’s Corporate Giveaway?
Mitch McConnell and his Repugnant caucus get their corporate bailout/worker fuckover bill through the Senate? They need Democratic votes to do it. Will Carper and Coons play along? Given their normal proclivities, signs point to “Yes,” particularly if other Democrats give them cover. Tomorrow morning would be a good time to flood their offices with […]
Petty Bureaucrats Spring, Spraunk, Sprank Into Action
City commissioners in Lake Worth Beach, Florida, bicker over ad-hoc rules and hurdles that, as if by magic, make it virtually impossible to take emergency measures such as closing the beaches during the coronavirus pandemic.
Mr. (P)Resident: Mobilize The Military And The Factories NOW!
You have the power. You have the authority. If indeed we are swimming in masks and tests, as you claim, then mobilize the military to deliver them. They can deliver supplies behind enemy lines, they can surely deliver supplies to the hospitals on the front lines. You have the authority, which you requested, to mobilize […]
Song of the Day 3/19: The Clash, “Lost in the Supermarket”
Minnesota and Vermont have designated grocery store workers emergency personnel, making them eligible for free child care. While we rightly praise health-care personnel, grocery workers come into contact with hundreds of people a day, and most shoppers aren’t staying six feet away from their cashier. My brother’s job brings him into several of them in […]
