Kaia Kater is a wonderful all-purpose musical threat: singer, songwriter and banjo-picker deluxe. She’s coming to the Arden Gild Hall on Sat., Nov. 3. While I’m not producing the show, I’m psyched to see her. Here are a couple of her songs, including a brand-new one:

‘Back door man’ referred to the lover who heads in and out the backdoor to escape the jealous spouse. Yes, the Doors created an electric rock version of the song. But, this here is the blues. Howlin’ Wolf more than doing justice to one of Willie Dixon’s most famous tunes:
