Last night I got polled on the County Executive race. (It was clearly a Clark poll because the possible responses to the question, "How much do you love Paul Clark? ranged from, "A whole lot" to "So gosh-darn much".) Anyway, for the first time in a long time, I said - "I gotto go!" to a pollster. First of all, I did have to go. But I am also at a loss on this one.

Here are my ground rules. Intriguing to me. And races that I consider to be competitive. So much for the ground rules. I admit that I know little about the individual races for Wilmington City Council, and only a little bit more about Sussex County Council primaries. So, I'm counting on all of you to provide insight and perspective. Not to mention your bouquets and brickbats.

PDD Happy Hour Tonight at the FireStone

The Progressive Democrats are hosting their Second Annual Happy Hour at the FireStone tonight from 7 to 9 pm. I hear from a reliable source that drinks are on them for the first hour. The FireStone is located on the Wilmington Riverfront, located at 110 South West Street in Wilmington, DE 19801. The event will be on the patio near the lounge and high top table area.

I'm not a huge fan of Stenny Hoyer, but i love how he takes the GOP to the woodshed on taxes in this statement.
"Very frankly, history shows (Clinton era tax rates will hurt the economy) to be a fallacious argument. That was the argument they made in 1993 — that we were going to destroy the economy; that deficits were going to explode; that unemployment would skyrocket, and that the stock market would tank....
