No One Wants To Marry Mr. Electable
Throughout this political season, the only thing Mitt Romney hasn’t flip-flopped on is his reason for his getting the nomination: Electability.
Yawn.
He is the guy that proposes to a woman and cites being a good provider as the main reason she should marry him. He then adds that he’s dependable and quickly points out how passion is over-rated and not a good foundation for a marriage. Now, all of this may be true, depending on who Mr. Electable is proposing, but for most people it just doesn’t cut it.
South Carolina Primary Open Thread
Should be an interesting evening. Maybe they’ll lose some votes and declare Rmoney the winner. Polls close at 7pm.
South Carolina Primary Predictions
My best guess is that Newt beats Romney by 7 points. Gingrich: 38% Romney: 31% Paul: 14% Santorum: 12% Consider this… If Romney loses tonight, Mr. Inevitable will be 1 for 3.
Romney Doesn’t Want To Give Obama A Present
Romney says “I’ll release [my tax returns] on April 15, and the reason is very simple: I want to beat Barack Obama. I don’t want to give the Democrats a nice little present of having multiple releases. We’re going to have one release.”
This really makes no sense… unless it really is a gift.
Romney National Support Collapsing
>Gallup’s Editor-in-chief Frank Newport appeared on MSNBC to talk about the polling organization’s national tracking poll of the GOP primary race, which is changing rapidly in the last few days of the campaign for South Carolina. Newport said when their new data comes out at 1 pm eastern, “…we’ll see this gap closing more. Romney was up 23 points over Newt Gingrich. Now it will be down about ten points, so clearly things are collapsing.
Santorum Wins!
Just thought he deserved the headline. The Republican party of Iowa has finished it’s recount of the January 3rd Iowa caucuses and the certified final results show Rick Santorum came out ahead by 34 votes.
150 Evangelicals Can’t Be Wrong
Santorum’s their guy. A group of 150 of the country’s leading social conservative and evangelical leaders met yesterday on a ranch outside Houston and, after three rounds of balloting, decided who they wanted as their official anyone-but-Romney alternative: Rick Santorum. Though the meeting was described by some as ‘too little, too late,’ it was still […]
When Mitt Romney Came To Town – Absolutely Devastating
If you haven’t watched Newt Gingrich’s Super Pac Ad… watch it now. It is absolutely devastating. Ed Kilgore describes is as “one of the most devilishly effective attack communications I’ve personally ever seen–a heat-seeking missile aimed directly at the white orking class id.”
New Hampshire Republican Primary Turnout Lower Than 2008
You’d think, after the last three years of GOP hysteria, that Republicans would rush to the polls in record numbers. But that’s not happening.
What’s Ron Paul’s Delegate Plan?
Since the Tea Party and the Christian Coalition can’t get their act together, and have proven they aren’t a force to be reckoned with, we move onto the only candidate that can throw a monkey wrench in Romney’s inevitable nomination.
Ron Paul’s Man Crush
The difference between Saturday night’s debate and Sunday morning’s debate was quite startling, but one thing remained consistent between the two. Ron Paul will go after anyone but Mitt Romney. I have no idea why… do you? Paul can’t possibly think Mitt will pick him as VP, so what’s up with this? Also, since only […]
Sunday Morning NBC GOP Debate
My prediction for this mornings debate is… I got nothing. You see, I actually believed the not-Romney candidates when they were threatening attack on the Romney. I believed it because it made sense to go after the front runner. It’s flippin’ Politics 101, for crying out loud. And if they weren’t going to follow through with all their trash-talking why did they even bother to show up? I swear, I truly expected everyone one of them to end last night’s debate conceding to Romney, because, hey, that’s what they did.
