Delaware Assoc. of Realtors in Bed With VERY Shady NJ SuperPAC Supporting Ennis and Jones – RECAP
I wish this was “Part 2” and not a recap post. A Part 2 will have pulled on this string a little more and, who knows, with the right breeze exposed the pert nipples of whoever is paying Keith Furlong and a VERY shady NJ consulting company to go after Matt Meyer while propping up, or pretending to prop up Bruce Ennis.
So here is the recap and questions that still need answering:
1) A very shady NJ SuperPac called “Building Stronger Communities” runs ads and sends mailers to help Maggie Jones and Bruce Ennis, and ONLY Maggie Jones and Bruce Ennis.
2) The shady AF “Bulding Stronger Communities PAC” is run by Keith Furlong, an employee of Cantania Gaming Consultants.. The two entities are also a three minute drive from each other. Nice for Keith! Who wants to sit in North Jersey traffic all day?
3) Bruce Ennis is also being propped up by another shady PAC called, “Strengthening Our Communities” which tracks back to Delaware Association of Realtors.
So here are the questions that need answers:
What’s the connection between “Strengthening Our Communities” and “Building Stronger Communities” ?
Who is funding “Building Stronger Communities”? Who is the client of Cantania Gaming Consultants, and what do they want to happen in Delaware?
Why is trying to get Rid of Matt Meyer part of what they want accomplished?

Yesterday’s mail piece from the VERY shady New Jersey-based Super PAC trying to unseat Matt Meyer has a return address. That address is: 134 E Water St Dover DE 19901. That’s also the address for the Delaware Association of Realtors.
I almost forgot why I put up a recap. It was to let you know that Keith Furlong still hasn’t returned my call.
If anyone else want to call him, I’d be in your debt.
Have you heard anything that anchors this to the Port Penn land preservation/sewer deal that blew up and took out Tom Gordon and Bill Powers in the last election cycle?
If I recall correctly, Bruce was one of the many levers in that political machine trying to sneak through a farming stipend for connected friends that was 20-30 times the going rate.
If it is Port Penn related, that loops in the notorious Dick Cathcart.
Blechhh. The plot thickens.
I’m almost certain that this ‘Building Stronger Communities’ PAC is the construction trades and, most specifically, AFL-CIO/Building Trades head James Maravelias. Word on the street is that he’s been bragging non-stop about all the shit he’s gonna drop on Meyer.
Oh, and a simple Google search shows the source of at least SOME of the enmity:

I missed this comment until now. From the linked article:
Hollins said he voted for the original requirement more than a decade ago to help minority workers get training and county business. He said that hasn’t happened. As an example citing administration figures, he said less than 1 percent of the county’s current contractors are black-owned contractors. That figure was 2.6 percent before the apprenticeship law came into existence.
I hope this puts to rest the notion that unions are progressive.
Uh-oh. Big man in Delaware!!! Watch out!!!!
What a tool.
There is ZERO affiliation between Strengthening Communities and the other PAC from NJ. First off we are a non-partisan PAC and have supported both sides of the aisle. Most importantly NCC races are local and the Delaware Association of Realtors does not get involved in local races. To call our Trade Association shady is wrong and somewhat defamatory. Please feel free to give me a call to discuss what we actually stand for.

Thanks for commenting, Beau.
I may take you up on that call invitation. In the meantime please note that I said that you were “in bed with a shady NJSuper PAC” not that DAR was a shady SuperPAC. So spare us the veiled threats of legal action.
And thank you for answering the direct question (What’s the connection between ‘Strengthening Our Communities’ and ‘Building Stronger Communities’ ?) with a direct answer.
I believe I stated there are no connections between our Strengthening Communities and the NJ PAC. I was not threatening legal action. I would be more than happy to speak with you.
