Comment Rescue: R-Way means Our (Delmarva Power’s) Way
Al got it right on his program this morning. (These bullshit hearings are) just McDowell’s attempt to undo the law that he helped write. And, in a press release yesterday Venebles stated that McDowell is a nationally recognized energy expert. He’s so nationally recognized that if you Google him you get nothing on this. Zilch. That’s a pretty low profile for somebody who is nationally recognized.
Does anybody out there know what R-WAY is? It’s listed as a source of income on McDowell’s disclosure document that he filed with the Delaware Public Integrity Commission, he’s the President, but there’s no explanation and again, Google doesn’t yield anything that might apply.
I’m telling you – the smoking gun is that McDowell is doing EVERYTHING Delmarva Power wants him to do.
Yeah, this R-Way thing is weird
I heard a very littl of Al’s show this morning and Freida Berryhill (?) mentioned that some people stopped just short of accusing McDowell of working for Delmarva Power.
Why hedge?
McDowell is working for Delamarva Power. He might be getting direct payments or he might be doing so based Stockbridges promise of some future windfall.
Wha’s the difference. He is not working for his constiuents, nor his State. He is working for Delmarva Power.
Period.

Mc Dowell will say he gets no money from Delmarva but he is definately carrying their water on this.
When I spoke last night I brought up Enron-like scam that those in the legis set up with the merger into PEPCO. I asked that all people involved with decisions reveal their financial relationship with any of the PEPCO companies.
[I will request this in writing as a back up].
I said any of the same people are still in office who gave us the de-reg of our utility when it was “in vogue” and they gave us the cap and an extension of the cap which prevented competition, the whole point of de-reg and we are all suffering under those laws now.
I mentioned Enron’s shell game with the people of California and that it took an act of Congress to decide to cap the energy profits to help the people of that state and we all know what happened next; Enron fell like a house of cards.
I said that since the legis had created HB6 they had better stand behind it. It is a matter of law and the process that followed was legally vetted. I demanded that if we had to follow the laws that come out of Dover certainly our elected officials must hold themselves to the law as well.
