One more thing about Iraq.
I remember one of Clinton’s first speeches after she announced. A couple of people askng questions gave her a hard time about her Iraq vot and she tried to spin it as, “It was a vote to give Bush the power to go to war – not a vote for war.”
If she had just voted against that war that we all knew to be complete bullshit she would have been carried into the White House in a sedan chair. [That goes for Joe Biden too.]
At this point does Clinton need to land a knockout punch? Discuss.

Obama Strategy: Obama should be the bigger man. The adult in the race. He’ll rise about the petty campaign craziness and avoid being baited into bickering about some narrowly framed policy question. If Hillary goes into freak-out mode just look into the camera and give the “WTF?” shoulder shrug or the “poor thing” head shake.
Clinton Strategy: The McCain campaign proxy needs to whip out her nun chucks tonight. Beating and beating and beating Obama until the audience is desensitized to her animalistic rage. I mean, she probably knows by now that it is all over – so why not burn down the auditorium?
Today Obama won the Democrats Abroad Global Primary. The primary is made up of expats. Only 4.5 delegates were at stake, but Obama won by a 2 to 1 margin.
It is the evil Lib’rul media I tell ya!
Limbaugh wrote in an e-mail to Politico: “The story is not the story. The story is the Drive By media turning on its favorite maverick and trying to take him out. The media picked the GOP’s candidate, the NYT endorsed him while they sat on this story, and is now, with utter predictability, trying to destroy him.”
And you know what, go get ’em Rush!
The New York Times is impossible to defend because it has become such a right wing rag. That is the irony. The editorial board are straight-up neo-cons.
If the owners of the Times ever decided to make it into the National lib’rul paper that Rush Limbag imagines it to be (with liberal editorial page and real investigative reporting) – the circulation would quadruple overnight.
This country could use a liberal newspaper.

Since the Republican Caucus in Leg Hall is in cahoots with the big money Strine has established screwing retirees as a major GOP priority, somebody needs to be on the side of the folks on a fixed income.
Howard Dean is calling out John McCain here, but his indictment of fraudulent maverick can be applied ot someone else I now.
Q: So there is big news about John McCain — the story that is in the New York Times, raising questions about his relationship with a lobbyist. This is a story the McCain people are saying is unfair and untrue. What do you think?
Dean: I have no idea whether the affair story is true or not, and I don’t care. What I do care about is John McCain — and this has been well-documented — is talking all the time about being a reformer and a maverick, and in fact, he has taken thousands of dollars from corporations, ridden on their corporate jets, and then turned around and tried to do favors for them and get projects approved. He has tons of lobbyists on his staff. This is a guy who is very close to the lobbyist community, a guy who has been documented again and again by taking contributions and then doing favors for it. This is not a guy who is a reformer. This is a guy who has been in Washington for 25 years and wants to give us four more years of the same, and I don’t think we need that.

Al Franken is now polling ahead of Norm Coleman in the race for Senator of Minnesota. I have been a huge Al Franken fan for a long time, and I’m overjoyed to think that he might actually get to be the Senator from his home state.
