So when do they take over healthcare?

Filed in National by on October 7, 2008

let’s face it.  We are now a socialist country if not close to a communist one.  With our government in direct control of our banking system and manipulating the global markets to prevent CEO’s from losing their millions it seems like they should at least give the American people a reach around in the form of free health care…

Stocks spike after Fed unveils plan to buy massive amounts of corporate debt

Wall Street is moderately higher in early trading, with investors encouraged by a Federal Reserve plan to buy massive amounts of short-term debt from companies. The plan unveiled Tuesday calls for the Fed to buy the short-term debt that companies use to finance their day-to-day operations. That would help create demand in the credit market and make it easier for companies to raise money.

But here is the part I love….

Investors who are still clamoring for an interest rate cut were relieved by the government’s new measure to help the economy. The credit markets seized up after the failure of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. Banks have been reluctant to lend to most customers, including other banks, fearing they won’t be repaid.

Yep, you read it right.  The greedy fucks want more.  MORE.  Now they want a rate cut. Because, god forbid profit margins are eroded and we don’t meet the streets expectations.

McCain wants to do for healthcare what he did for banking.

They are holding us hostage. Another rate cut or the economy gets it!

Here ya go–letter received Saturday from PNC in regards to a credit line.

    DENIED-Insufficient equity in collateral

Own it all gang outright…deeds, policies, CDs,securities (ha ha), cars, truck and tractor…and only TEN PERCENT if that, left on the house. Why even the 800 credit score the bank assigned from their rating people didn’t move that decision. Yup, hold on folks. I’m low maintenance, and have always lived within my means, hence I don’t need the credit line. But you mess w/ me who WAS going to spend it out there buying short, or at bargain…and now you have messed w/ the natural free market as we knew it. So sorry to repentant homeowner, who just want to cut their losses, clear their debt, and get out..I can’t help you…maybe the government can…again. I’ll just have to have you over for dinner.
P.S. Wonder what this does to my credit score now there is a “denied” on record?

Now does this give you ANY insight into what they’ll do to healthcare? And remember, your health is not a reserve you can bide time with–but a time bomb to be taken care of–just a thought to all you starry-eyed program promotion proponents. Hard facts-Babyviti would have been born in a designated “laying in”, concrete brick room, no TV, MAYBE a folding chair for Hef-if they let him in, no epidural for Mrs. Hef, because no one dies of pain, and the financial subsidy for anesthesia in obstetrics is reserved for C-sections, and other operative procedures. Baby delivered by local midwife (and I don’t mean that in our highly educated, capable, educated midwife term we employ in the US), blanket and supplies given to midwife by family to dress baby to go to the nursery. Oh-and if Hef forgot to bring a blanket or onesie for the baby–not to worry–newspapers are kept on hand for that emergency of forgotten detail. Baby to nursery for observation w/ 30+ other babies overseen by one government worker–but two of them on day shift. Families in and out w/ baby’s needed supplies for stay. Mrs. Hef goes to maternity ward of 4-12 mothers in a room–one bathroom. She sees attendant once who witnesses, Mrs. Hef can tinkle after delivering–and then Mrs. Hef calls upon her friend or family member to render care as needed, up to and including running to the local drugstore for any products, medicines of comfort. Twenty four hours later one doctor surveys the nursery and signs off/out Babyhef, then same doctor reports to maternity ward to sign off/out Mrs. Hef w/ prescription to fill for her own antibiotics because she was brave and smart enough to mention she felt feverish etc. Oh by the way–the doctor was just assigned to cover that area that day–because it’s more of an oversight area, than an actual competence area–so they just rotate through. The Hef family then goes home..where all is not well..and I won’t detail here..but the government handled their healthcare, and they won’t get a bill!!
